Best and worst of WWE RAW- SmackDown stars arrive, Top Superstars buried 

The sad thing about RAW is how it shows flashes of brilliance at times, and then again, it dissolves into sheer mediocrity. There was a lot to like about this week's show but honestly speaking, the bad outweighed the good.

As always, remember that my word is not gospel but is just the opinion of the WWE Universe much like yourself. In fact, your opinion can be completely different from mine and still be valid because everyone enjoys the WWE product differently.

#1 Best: Two WrestleMania 35 rematches

I saw a lot of you guys groaning when the match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre was first announced. I admit that I wasn't particularly enthused about the contest either. But the fact of the matter is that the two men told a great story and put on a pretty solid match this week. It felt like two powerhouses slugging it out and was quite a stellar effort indeed.

Of course, the main event between Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan was short and sweet. It wasn't nearly as good or as electric as their contest at WrestleMania but it was still a pretty good match. Both of these matches were honestly the highlight of the show for me, personally.

There were no real surprises in either match except for maybe the interference from Shane McMahon, Elias and The Miz. I quite liked the backstage segment that followed.

Good quality matches are almost always a surefire way to capture the WWE Universe's attention.

#1 Worst: The Wild Card Rule

One of the highlights after WrestleMania is generally what is known as the Superstar Shake-Up. What happens during this process is that RAW and SmackDown Superstars move from one brand to another, until the rosters are completely finalized. But this week, Vince McMahon introduced a brand new rule that will not make fans very happy at all.

The Wild Card Rule allows for 4 superstars from RAW to show up on SmackDown Live and vice versa during any given week, nullifying the Superstar-Shake Up. Now the rosters will not seem special at all, and anything can happen at any point. Survivor Series will also feel a lot less special now that the two brands will engage a lot more.

I think that this is one of the worst decisions from WWE in a long time. Let's hope that this doesn't mean that the brand split is ending as well.

#2 Best: Mercy The Buzzard kills Ramblin' Rabbit at the Firefly Fun House

I know that the Firefly Fun House segments are not everyone's cup for tea. But if you look in between the lines, you'll see how many hidden meanings there are behind almost everything that Bray Wyatt does. He is a master of the cryptic and I've detailed everything he's done in a special article.

What I especially like about these segments is how different they are from the rest of the show. They are obviously created from beginning to end by Bray Wyatt who's a genius in his own right. The trademark stamp of WWE Creative does not exist on these vignettes at all.

#2 Worst: Completely burying The Revival

There are times when you don't want anyone else to come in as you're watching wrestling on your television screen. This week's episode that featured The Revival scratching their nether regions to the amusement of nobody but Vince McMahon was one such segment. Honestly, I don't know the last time I've cringed so much because of a wrestling segment.

It is clear that Vince McMahon wants to undermine The Revival because they're probably headed to greener pastures in due time. This is why they're not taking on The Usos in what could be the Match of The Year, but are instead part of such silly skits. This one was even worse than the cringe-worthy back shaving segment they were part of last week.

WWE fans just want to see some good old fashioned action, folks. And the humor they like isn't this cheesy, honestly.

#3 Best: The Shane McMahon-Miz stuff

I really liked the fact that The Miz chased after Shane McMahon with a steel chair through the backstage area. I did chuckle at Charly Caruso catching Shane McMahon off guard midway through a frenetic chase.

Honestly, the only way that we buy into these two men having a steel cage match at Money in the Bank is if they show us just how hardcore they can both potentially be. The bump they took at WrestleMania 35, although it was from a height, looked so safe and PG that nobody had their hearts in their mouths, like most other Shane McMahon moments.

But the backstage altercation actually felt like it was a hardcore segment at long last. I'm finally excited about their match.

We all know that Shane McMahon is going to climb the cage and attempt something completely outrageous from the top of the steel structure.

#3 Worst: Making AJ Styles and Seth Rollins team up

When WWE books two babyfaces against one another for a pay-per-view, they invariably make the team up. And it invariably leads to a miscommunication between the two men where one accidentally hits the other.

Any WWE fan could predict the fact that Styles would hit Rollins before the match even began. I would have preferred a storyline where AJ Styles abandons Seth Rollins mid way through the match when Rollins needs a big tag.

Honestly, I also wonder if it's a wise decision to have The Universal Champion pinned on television because we all know that Brock Lesnar would never really take a pin. It was the mystique of the erstwhile Universal Championship that made the title so prestigious, in my opinion.

I started watching The Walking Dead the other day and the amount of unpredictability of the show vs. the predictable nature of WWE is staggering.

#4 Best/worst: Pinning the Tag Champs

So why am I for pinning Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins but against pinning Universal Champion Seth Rollins? Ryder and Hawkins are clearly transitional champions because there doesn't seem to be a plan for the duo at all. Their storyline came to a logical conclusion at WrestleMania and we're just prolonging the inevitable now.

I also like the fact that The Viking Raiders are getting a big push, right from the start, establishing them as bonafide top guys. They're a serious tag team unit who can make the entire roster look very good. They could potentially feud with The Usos in due course of time in an epic rivalry.

Ultimately, it all comes down to one thing. The picture of Alexa Bliss that invariably concludes this article.
