Kofi Kingston: 5 things Vince McMahon could reward the Superstar with after he runs the gauntlet

Last week, after messing with Kofi Kingston's WWE Title shot at Fastlane, Vince McMahon announced that if Kingston survives five other Superstars in a gauntlet match, he will be going to WrestleMania. Beating five Superstars such as Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Cesaro, Sheamus and Rowan will be no easy task. However, Vince McMahon was very clear that Kingston will be heading to WrestleMania but did not say anything about a Title shot at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Considering this is something on the lines of what The Chairman pulled off when he explained his actions at Fastlane, here are five different scenarios that could play out once Kingston runs the gauntlet.

#5 Ticket to the front row at WrestleMania

This has to be the most obvious choice for Mr. McMahon to prove to be the biggest heel in the company. Once Kofi finishes off his five competitors, McMahon can come out and tell Kofi that he is going to WrestleMania and hand him a ticket to the first row instead of what everyone believes to be a match for the WWE Title.

The show may close with loud boos and the make Kofimania run rampant. Kingston may be propelled as the biggest babyface in the company since Daniel Bryan and his Yes Movement.

#4 An alternate match at WrestleMania

What can be worse than leaving all you've got in the ring to only be handed one more obstacle in your way? Mr. McMahon may come out to a tired Kofi and say that yes he is going to Mania but he will have to face another opponent on the night. He will be granted his title match only if he beats that opponent on that night.

This is very similar to what Daniel Bryan had to do on his road to his WWE World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania XXX. This can be a great way to get the crowd excited for all of Kofi's matches at Mania and to capitalize on the inevitable pop and feel good moment when Kingston finally becomes a Grand Slam champion.

#3 Accompany The New Day at WrestleMania

The
New Day getting a Title match at Mania?

Vince McMahon may announce a No. 1 Contender's match for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles in the coming and weeks or have The New Day be a part of a Triple Threat or Fatal Four Way match for the titles at Mania. Either way, let us assume that Woods and Big E will be the ones representing The New Day in the said Title match.

McMahon can allow Kingston to be on his team's side during the match to cheer and motivate his partners in winning the belts at The Grandest Stage Of Them All. This move will surely get heat from the crowd and the crowd may go haywire.

#2 Special Referee for the WWE Title match

No Kofi Kingston?

This is surely something that nobody wants to see. The WWE Universe is so invested in Kingston's dream finally coming true that this announcement will receive showers of boos. Much like how Mr. McMahon replaced Kingston in his match at Fastlane, he can tell Kofi that he is going to be a part of the WWE Title match, but only as a referee.

The match could involve either Kevin Owens since he didn't get his one on one match for the Title, or a returning Sami Zayn. Either way you look at it, The Chairman will establish himself as the biggest heel going into WrestleMania and the WWE Universe may force him to change his decision.

#1 Book an entertainment slot for Kofi Kingston

McMahon is a huge fan of Kingston's antics

This is the most unlikely decision but you can never rule anything out in the WWE. Mr. McMahon has said time and again that he is a huge fan of Kofi Kingston's Royal Rumble antics. The Chairman may be so impressed by Kingston that he gives him a 10-15 minute slot at Mania to go out and entertain the crowd.

Mr. McMahon is capable of anything. In the past, he has had many of the company's top athletes dance at the tip of his fingers. It won't be unusual to hear this announcement come out of McMahon's mouth. This could be a slot much like the half time slot at the Super Bowl where the crowd is entertained by the performances.
