Opinion: Why Roman Reigns returned to RAW before WrestleMania

On the 25 February episode of RAW, former Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned to give an update on his battle with leukemia. Roman defeated Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2018 to win the Universal Championship, but after 63 days as champion, he announced that he has been diagnosed with leukemia again after 11 years and so he relinquished his title to undergo treatment for the same.

Roman is one of the biggest stars in the company. WWE had already announced about his return on social media and when Roman's music hit on this week's RAW, he got a massive pop, as fans were excited to see him after four long months.

Roman thanked all his fans who liked him or disliked but prayed for his quick recovery and also gave a piece of good news that he is in remission which could mean that The Big Dog is going to be back in in-ring action soon.

Roman Reigns can help Seth Rollins win the Universal Championship

One match that is going to take place at WrestleMania 35 is Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship where Brock is going to defend his championship against Seth Rollins.

Paul Heyman made a spoiler that Brock Lesnar is going to beat up Rollins and Seth made a spoiler that he is going to sell his soul to the demon if that means Lesnar not going out as a Universal Champion at WrestleMania. Roman Reigns is someone who can help Seth Rollins here to win the Universal Championship as he is also one of the Superstars who pinned Brock clean.

By already getting Roman Reigns involved in some action on his return, WWE have ensured it wouldn't come as a huge surprise to the WWE Universe if The Big Dog interferes on the Grandest Stage of Them All to help his Shield-brother.

After Roman, Seth is the face of the company, and one way to book him strongly is by making him the Universal Champion. WrestleMania is all about moments. Just imagine Rollins and Reigns hugging each other after the former slays the Beast Incarnate to win the Universal Championship.
