WWE Hell in a Cell 2018: Full Match-Card Predictions & Analysis

After delivering a suprisingly good pay-per-view with SummerSlam, WWE is back in business with Hell in a Cell. Roman Reigns' first PPV as the Universal Champion sees him locking horns against the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.

In what will be the tenth event under the Hell in a Cell chronology, the fans are expecting WWE to produce some intriguing moments in order to advance the narrative in splendid fashion.

Eight matches have been announced, with the Intercontinental and United States Championship not scheduled to be defended, at the event.

Since all the matches have great potential, WWE could produce something sensational out of this one, and possibly deliver one of their best shows of the year.

Intriguing rivalries like Charlotte-Becky Lynch, A.J. Styles-Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns-Braun Strowman, and Jeff Hardy-Randy Orton are the most anticipated for the event.

So, who will walk out of Hell in a Cell victorious? With three matches being settled inside the barbaric Hell in a Cell, one has to wonder what will emerge when the event finally hits our television screens.

#1 The New Day (C) Vs. Rusev and Aiden English for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships

In what was an exciting tag-team tournament to decide the No 1 Contender for the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Championships, Rusev and Aiden English have emerged as the ones to lock horns with the New Day this Sunday.

Considering that both the teams do not share any animosity, as of now, there's a significant possibility that WWE might extend this feud for further more events.

Since Rusev Day is so popular at the moment, pushing the envelope with him would be the right way to go but it's unlikely that it might happen against the New Day.

Expect some tensions between Rusev and Aiden English in this one, with the New Day taking advantage of the situation and pinning either one of them to defend their titles successfully.

Prediction - The New Day retains the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Championships

#2 Drew Mcintyre and Dolph Ziggler (C) Vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the Raw Tag-Team Championships

The Raw Tag-Team Championships will be up for grabs when Drew Mcintyre and Dolph Ziggler defend the belts against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

While the match could be promising, both the teams are still scheduled for further more events down the line, and this could coerce the creative team to let Mcintyre and Ziggler walk out as the winners in this one.

It's a damn shame that the Intercontinental Championship is not being defended on the show, but delivering some good spots might help in garnering more attention from the fans.

In my humble opinion, both Mcintyre and Ziggler have brought some attention to the Tag-Team Championships, and there's a sure possibility that they might just escape the wrath of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose this Sunday.

Expect a powerful performance from Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose but don't think they will walk out of the event as your new Raw Tag-Team Champions.

#3 Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella Vs. The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag-Team Match

There's no denying that Daniel Bryan's feud with the Miz could go down in history as one of his best. However, judging by how WWE management book their feuds, this might also get exaggerated at some point in 2018.

Since the A-Lister successfully defeated Daniel Bryan at the biggest party of the summer, the Beard definitely needs to get the upper hand here in order to make this feud work.

After Maryse helped her husband defeat Bryan at SummerSlam, Brie Bella's involvement in the feud has provided it with some intriguing dimension.

With a significant proportion of WWE fans wanting to see Daniel Bryan Vs. the Miz at WrestleMania 35 for the WWE Championship, I would not want WWE to pull the trigger with this so early.

A sure possibility here would be for Brie Bella to pin Marsye after the Miz runs away, leaving her helpless and alone in the middle of the ring.

Since the Miz has thrived as a cowardly heel, running away from Daniel Bryan might surely ignite more heat and would give the fans a legitimate option to invest their intelligence in this feud.

#4 Jeff Hardy Vs. Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell match

Just like all of you, I'm expecting some fantastic spots in this match. Since it was Jeff Hardy's insistence of wanting a Hell in a Cell match, there's bound to be something incredible happening in this bout.

With Randy Orton's heel antics working wonders, there's no denying that his viciousness has ascended this feud to a whole new different level.

Considering how Jeff Hardy has been behaving recently, it seems like a genuine possibility that WWE might be considering having him as Brother Nero for the remainder of 2018.

Despite being one of the most gifted talents in sports entertainment, Jeff Hardy's ability to transform into different characters is his biggest strength.

The Charismatic Enigma's high-flying ability might cost him big in this one, with a possibility of delivering a swanton bomb of the top of the cell. Something of this stature might affect him and turn him broken, thus introducing Brother Nero to the frame.

Expect the Apex Predator to erase the Enigma and transform Jeff Hardy's entire characterization with a win.

#5 Ronda Rousey (C) Vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship

After delivering a disappointing match at the biggest party of the summer, Ronda Rousey is scheduled to lock horns with Alexa Bliss again this Sunday at Hell in a Cell.

Despite being a credible heel, there's no way Alexa Bliss could get the better off Ronda Rousey, and this could possibly be a cakewalk for the Rowdy One.

Since there are no legitimate opponents left for Rousey on Monday Night Raw, this is perhaps the most predictable match on the entire card.

With rumors of a further showdown between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella doing the rounds, there's no way Alexa Bliss would get anything out of this Sunday.

Expect a predictable yet entertaining squash match.

#6 Charlotte Flair (C) Vs. Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship

Possibly the most anticipated clash of this Sunday's event would be Charlotte Flair defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against her former best friend in Becky Lynch.

The Relentless Lass Kicker has been sensational at the moment, and could be the most popular superstar on both brands, at this point.

Considering that this gruesome encounter will be settled inside Hell in a Cell, there's a sure possibility that weapons might be used for getting an upper hand in the contest.

Since WWE is literally portraying Becky Lynch as the heel in this one, the Irish Sensation would do anything in her power to defeat the Queen and dethrone her to capture the title she truly deserves.

With this being an anticipated encounter, I'm going with Becky Lynch in this one with multiple chair shots assisting her to defeat her former best friend.

Another rivalry that has turned extremely personal is the one that is being fought for possibly the most coveted prize in sports entertainment, the WWE Championship.

A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe have worked in this business for almost two decades, and understand each other's strength and limitations. Since these two share a lot of history together, this match could easily become the match of the night.

With the Destroyer constantly taunting the Phenomenal One and his family, this match is bound to be very intriguing and entertaining.

Considering that their match at SummerSlam ended in a disqualification, this match could turn out brilliant, with the Destroyer finally taking out A.J. Styles for good.

Since both the superstars are scheduled to battle at two more events, giving Joe the title this Sunday would also ascend his credibility as a vicious heel.

Predictions - Samoa Joe wins the WWE Championship

#8 Roman Reigns (C) Vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship with Mick Foley as the Special Guest Referee

Despite being vehemently rejected as the face of this company, Roman Reigns' feud with Braun Strowman always feels promising for what it actually brings to the table.

Both the superstars share a tremendous chemistry and can carry each other to a fantastic match. With these two superstars locked inside Hell in a Cell with Mick Foley, all hell could break loose.

Mick Foley's involvement in this match might coerce the fans to invest in Roman Reigns with the Monster Among Men constantly threatening Mick Foley during the encounter.

Since it's very difficult to decimate the Monster Among Men, I definitely believe that he will demolish the Roman Empire in every way he can but still find himself vulnerable to the Big Dog's superheroic antics.

There's no way Roman Reigns could lose his first PPV match after defeating Brock Lesnar, and the night could end with Braun Strowman standing tall after the Big Dog is done celebrating his victory.

Prediction : Roman Reigns retains the Universal Championship
