There are a number of WWE Superstars who need to win tonight

WWE Money in the Bank 2019: 5 superstars who desperately need to pick up a win

Money in the Bank is the first WWE pay-per-view since WrestleMania, but because May has been such a long month, it definitely seems much longer. WrestleMania was an epic show for a number of reasons, but it appears that many stars didn't get the wins they needed on the Grandest Stage of them all and now they need to bounce back.

The Superstar Shake-up has left many big names off the card this weekend, stars who were expected to be part of the show a few weeks ago, which shows that anyone in WWE can be replaced, and if superstars are not putting in their best work, then they will be taken off TV.

Whilst the odds are definitely in favor of a number of stars going into tonight's event, there are a number of other superstars who desperately need to pick up the victory to avoid becoming lost amongst the shuffle.

#5. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio needs a victory tonight at Money in the Bank

The Master of The 619 returned to WWE last year but so far has nothing to show for his efforts to become champion. Back at WrestleMania, he was embarrassed by Samoa Joe when he was quickly defeated inside a minute, and tonight is his time for revenge.

The reason for the short match at WrestleMania was because Mysterio was injured, and hopefully, the fact that the match has gone ahead tonight means that the former World Champion is back at a hundred percent and he's able to defeat Samoa Joe and pick up the title.

It's likely that his son Dominick will be in his corner tonight as well, and he won't want to lose another match to Joe in front of his own son, that would just add to his recent humiliation.

#4. Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke has been given a huge opportunity at Money in the Bank

The WWE Universe was collectively shocked an impressed a few weeks ago when WWE made the decision to give Dana Brooke a place in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

The former NXT star has been floating around the Raw roster over the past few years and hasn't even come close to a Women's Championship, which means that this could be the start of something big for her.

Brooke is up against quite a field of women tonight, but the chaos of the Money in the Bank ladder match means that anyone can take advantage of the situation and climb the ladder.

Dana Brooke wouldn't be the usual pick to win, but when it comes to underdogs and stars who need victories to push forward, she definitely is someone who's in need of a win to be noticed.

#3. Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans has a lot of doubters to prove wrong tonight

Lacey Evans has been pushed into a spot on WWE's Money in the Bank card that she is definitely not familiar with. The former NXT star has never won gold in WWE, and now it appears that she could lift the Raw Women's Championship tonight if she's able to defeat Becky Lynch.

Evans hasn't won over the WWE Universe just yet since her in-ring ability doesn't seem to match up with her skills on the mic.

WWE has been impressed with The Sassy Southern Belle ever since she made her way up to the main roster, but her constant botches in matches have made it so that the WWE Universe believe she should be sent back down to NXT rather than given a chance of this magnitude.

Tonight will be her chance to prove the WWE Universe wrong.

#2. Ali

Ali could be the dark horse in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match

Ali was an interesting addition to the men's Money in the Bank ladder match since he's someone who came over from 205 Live a few months ago and a recent injury forced WWE to change a number of plans that they had for him.

Injuries in WWE always come at the worst possible time, which means that Ali has to work hard now to push himself back into the position he was in before.

Drew McIntyre is the most likely winner of tonight's Money in the Bank men's ladder match but it would be interesting to see if Ali's ability in the ring allows him to put himself in a winning position so he could become the shock winner of this year's contract instead.

Ali is easily the fastest rising star on SmackDown Live and this win would push him over the edge.

#1. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan was the WWE Champion back in April

Daniel Bryan lost the WWE Championship to Kofi Kingston back at WrestleMania before he went on a hiatus after it was revealed that he was struggling with an injury. Bryan returned to WWE almost a month later so he could claim his rematch against The New Day member, and he lost once again.

It's been a shocking few weeks for the former WWE Champion, and now he walks into Money in the Bank as a SmackDown Tag Team Champion, but his match alongside Erick Rowan against The Usos looks as though it could be a normal match on the pre-show.

To go from the semi-main event of WrestleMania to the pre-show of Money in the Bank in the space of a month is shocking for someone of Bryan's caliber, so he needs a win to change his current fortunes.
