WWE News: Former World Champion, Batista claims that he would rather go broke than return to wrestling

What's the story?

Batista retired from wrestling to continue to pursue a career in the acting business and it appears that The Animal isn't ready to look back at his career in the ring.

In case you didn't know...

Batista lost his final WWE match to Triple H at WrestleMania after the duo were part of an interesting back and forth heading into the biggest event of the year. The Animal has become a box office hit since he left WWE after staring in James Bond's Spectre as well as Drax in Guardians of The Galaxy and The Avengers, which could be why he's decided to walk away from the wrestling business in favor of an acting career.

Ahead of his return, The Animal stated that he was worried about returning as a heel because of the way he was received as a heel when he returned to WWE in 2014.

The heart of the matter

Batista recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet where he revealed that this was a real retirement, he wouldn't return to the ring again in the future and would go broke before he would do so.

"This is a real wrestling retirement. I am done. My in ring career is over. I would love to go back on the show because I love the company and I believe in the product so I would go back and go on the show. If they ask me to go in the Hall of Fame I will. But I will not have another wrestling match. I will go broke before I have another wrestling match and I will not go and work for another promotion," he said via Fightful.

What's next?

Never say never in the wrestling business, Shawn Michaels left it more than eight years before he returned to the ring and it appears that Batista could be looking at the same timeframe when his acting career calms down.
