WWE Rumors: New details emerge on why Lio Rush has backstage heat

What's the story?

Lio Rush joined the main roster last year as Bobby Lashley's manager, and while the pairing did get a lot of attention, it was for all the wrong reasons. In fact, between Rush's smallish stature and his weird catchphrase, his time on the main roster has been nothing short of rage inducing to a better part of the WWE Universe.

Of course, that's the way it's supposed to be since Rush is playing a heel character, but it appears that this might not be the case much longer. Unfortunately for Rush, who hasn't been seen on television lately, a new report from Fightful claims that his backstage heat is worse than what was originally speculated.

In case you didn't know...

Dave Meltzer has reported that Rush has garnered backstage heat over believing that he should be a top guy. Not only did this apparently rub the locker room the wrong way, it also didn't sit well with management either. Beyond all that, the WWE Universe seems enraged that someone who is very lucky to be on the main roster would be pulling these kind of antics.

The Heart of the matter

In all honesty, Rush is lucky to be where he is right now, especially since WWE could just pawn him off on 205 Live and catapult him back into irrelevancy. Figthful is even reporting that he will be lucky if he continues to stay on the main roster.

According to a reporter from Fightful.com:

A source on the WWE Roster tells me Lio Rush would be very lucky to be back on the main roster any time soon, if ever. The brash cruiserweight has repeatedly rubbed the locker room the wrong way, and we've heard from several WWE sources that the roster has wanted him out of the locker room for quite a while.

That wasn't the only story the site heard however, as they are also reporting that one of the backstage incidents stemmed from Finn Balor having a talk with him about having his wife sit in on rehearsals. Not only that, but some of the backstage heat has to do with Rush bringing his wife everywhere with him.

One apparently involves former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor, who was making an effort to give Rush advice months ago. Balor allegedly let Rush know that it's quite likely that Vince McMahon wouldn't take kindly to his wife sitting in on rehearsals, and Rush responded unfavorably. Word got around the locker room pretty quickly.

What's next?

It's unclear where things go from here, but don't be surprised if you don't hear from Lio Rush for a while. Of course, not a lot of people want to hear from Rush anyway, given his cocky heel character, and will probably welcome the break from his usual rhetoric.
