While speaking to Complex, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns talked about a possible future match with AEW's CM Punk. Reigns didn't seem too keen and insinuated that Punk is past his prime:

''That’s not going to elevate me at all. He’s older now. I haven’t really seen a full match. I’ve seen a clip or two. And, to me, a step or two has been lost. Then also he got his whooped in the UFC. I don’t think anybody really believes someone 200 pounds soaking wet with no explosive bone in their body could ever really do anything to me,'' said Roman Reigns

The Head of the Table continued by saying that he's a "legit athlete" and went on to describe the height and weight difference between himself and Punk. He further added that he could take out the entire AEW roster if he wanted:

''So, I mean, when it comes down to it, I’ll throw him and pretty much the rest of that roster out the club no problem. They’re just little brothers, you know?” said Reigns

#4 Bray Wyatt's in-ring name following WWE release

Ad

Bray Wyatt was let go by WWE in July this year. It is being reported that he plans on using the name Windham in the future. Wyatt's real name is Windham Rotunda, so it makes sense for him to go ahead with this name.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that his non-compete with WWE will be over by the end of this month, and he is hoping to use his real name going forward.

There has been a lot of speculation about which company Wyatt will join. It is said that AEW is not keen on signing him, whereas IMPACT Wrestling has been pursuing him to sign.

#3 WWE icon Goldberg gives an update on his injury

Former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg said his knee will not be completely healed ahead of his clash with Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel next week.

“Knee’s much better. Hopefully it’ll be — I won’t be completely healed by then [Crown Jewel] but it’ll be, suffice to say, in good enough shape to kick Bobby [Lashley’s] ass. Let’s just say that.” (H/T Post Wrestling)

Goldberg suffered a knee injury thanks to Bobby Lashley's brutal assault when the two met at SummerSlam. The match between the two was stopped as Goldberg couldn't continue due to the injured knee.

#2 Possible plan for Randy Orton after retiring from WWE

Ad

Randy Orton's father, WWE legend Bob Orton, spoke to Shane Douglas on Appalachian Expose to talk about his son's future. Bob Orton said that his son will likely stick around the business when he is done as an in-ring athlete to help younger talent make a mark.

I'm sure he would want to stay around the business and maybe help the younger guys, like he was helped out, stuff like that. I don't know that he has to do anything, but I think he loves the business enough that he probably wants to stay involved in some sort," said Bob Orton.

Randy Orton is the current RAW Tag Team Champion with Riddle, and it does not look like The Viper has any plans to hang up his boots anytime soon.

#1 Roman Reigns comments on his match against Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel

Ad

Speaking to WWE UK, The Tribal Chief talked about how the dynamics of his upcoming match against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel are different from their past encounters.

He stated that the roles have reversed now, and he is not the same competitor he was before. Reigns touched upon how Paul Heyman is no longer by Lesnar's side and is his Wise Man now.

''In the past, Brock was probably the most prestigious Universal Champion we have had, definitely in terms of title reign – but that pales into comparison against what I have been able to achieve in the last year and a half," said Roman Reigns.

The two men will face each other at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21st. Here is a possible spoiler in regards to the finish of their match at Crown Jewel.
