In case you didn't know...

Orton and Styles were involved in a backstage segment on the latest SmackDown Live episode as The Viper took a shot at the Phenomenal One.

Styles was in the midst of an interview in which he spoke about Kofi Kingston's unfortunate ouster from the Fastlane title match. Orton interrupted and was confused with Styles talking about someone else getting a shot at the WWE Championship. "No wonder it took you 15 years to get here," Orton said.

What's next?

Orton and Styles have only faced other once before and it was a one-off match for a WrestleMania spot in 2017. They have not had a full-blown feud and the time is indeed right for WWE to finally pull the trigger on the dream rivalry. This has always been the rumored plan and it's good to see creative going ahead with it for the biggest PPV of the year.

Orton vs. Styles could the lowkey show-stealer at WrestleMania 35.
