WWE News: Seth Rollins reveals why The Shield reunited at WWE Fastlane

What's the story?

Seth Rollins will be challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in one of the marquee matches at WrestleMania 35. Rollins spoke to Cathy Kelley in an extended interview ahead of Sunday's match. During the interview, Rollins spoke about why The Shield reunited for one last time at WWE Fastlane.

Seth Rollins followed up an incredible 2018 by winning the 2019 men's Royal Rumble match and earn a shot at 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Before his date with The Beast, Rollins teamed up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at WWE Fastlane as the reunited Hounds of Justice faced and defeated Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

The heart of the matter

During his interview with Cathy Kelly, Seth Rollins spoke about The Shield's reunion at WWE Fastlane. Rollins said that with Reigns recently returning and Ambrose set to leave, it just felt like the right decision:

"When it gets thrust in your lap the first time, you're kinda like 'okay, I don't know...maybe not'. But once I had time to sit down and kind of think about it, knowing what I've got at WrestleMania coming up, understanding where Ambrose is headed and getting Roman back and trying to mix him back into the fold nice and gingerly if you will, it just made sense.

To get one more in before we didn't have a chance and to have all of us on the same page and to not to have to worry about who's doing what to whom, it was a really nice feeling and the match itself was almost like a cathartic experience. "

Seth Rollins will face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 this Sunday. Roman Reigns faces Drew McIntyre. As for Dean Ambrose, he's set to leave WWE when his current contract ends following WrestleMania.
