The WWE Hall of Fame: Not a priority for WWE in 2019?

WWE Rumors: WWE Hall of Fame reportedly low priority in 2019

What's the story?

The Floor Seat is reporting via the Wrestling Observer, that the 2019 Hall of Fame is a low priority for WWE this year, which likely explains the lack of news regarding potential inductees as we enter February, just two months removed from the ceremony, scheduled to take place on April 5, 2019, from the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In case you didn't know...

WWE usually announces a headliner and co-headliner for it's WWE Hall of Fame during January, to build anticipation and boost early ticket sales for the Hall of Ceremony.

Atypically, this has not occurred this year, as yet. The only potentially leaked news is that Bam Bam Bigelow is a "lock" for this year's class.

The heart of the matter

Dave Meltzer has said that he has heard rumours of an impending induction for former WWE Champion, Batista, but states even that has yet to be confirmed: “I haven’t really heard anything other than the rumours of Batista, but, he may not do it. I don’t know.”

Batista is set to be participating in a match with Triple H at this year's WrestleMania event, which may preclude him from induction. However, the silence on leaks coming out of WWE regarding the Hall of Fame does suggest that the company may only be putting limited effort into 2019's class.

That would be a shame due to this year's event marking the 35th edition of the company's flagship show, Wrestlemania.

Many fans would have been expecting WWE to stack the show with big name legends such as The Rock, D-Generation X, Vader and others.
