In the closing moments of the last week’s show, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa, and Finn Balor will lock horns in a triple-threat match to determine the next challenger for Adam Cole's NXT Championship.

All these three men will give their best in the upcoming match that is expected to be the main event of the show. Ciampa is already engaged in a feud with Cole as he is determined to get his hands on ‘Goldie’, something that he was forced to relinquish after sustaining an unfortunate injury earlier this year.

Finn Balor, who shocked the world by attacking Cole two weeks ago, is also gearing up to enter the title challenge as he prepares to establish his dominance in the Black and Gold brand once again. These two Superstars will have to look out for an added threat in Lee who is quickly becoming the force to reckon with.

The winner of this match will challenge Cole for the NXT Championship next week.

#5 Mia Yim seeks revenge on Dakota Kai

Surprise...

At NXT Takeover: WarGames, Dakota Kai attacked Mia Yim that caused the latter to be removed from Rhea Ripley’s team. This allowed Kai to join the historic match but she used the opportunity to let the WWE Universe know that she is now focused only on herself. Kai turned heel and attacked her best friend Tegan Nox.

Last week, she was set to face Rhea Ripley but the latter allowed Yim to come back and lock horns with Kai. Both these Superstars exchanged brutal blows in an attempt to showcase their dominance and showed that their rivalry could turn into something huge. Unfortunately, the match was interrupted by Shayna Baszler and her friends.

Tonight, Kai and Yim will square off in a 1-on-1 encounter. Both these Superstars are thirsty for each other’s blood and with Yim seeking revenge from Kai, their match is expected to explore new dimensions of brutality on the Black and Gold brand.

#3 Rhea Ripley responds to Shayna Baszler

Will Rhea Ripley unleash the monster inside?

Last week, Shayna Baszler walked out during Dakota Kai vs Mia Yim and brutalized Rhea Ripley with the help of Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. The three of the Four Horsewomen on show managed to take down Ripley who was left unconscious in the ring.

Before leaving, Baszler took the mic and announced that she will be defending her title against Ripley on December 18 and fired a warning for her opponent about the brutality that could transpire during their encounter.

Tonight, we can expect Ripley to respond to the Champion in a brief segment that is likely to end in a brawl. Both these Superstars have been engaged in a feud for a few weeks now and the build-up to their title bout is bound to include yet another exciting exchange of blows.

With the number game being a major disadvantage for Ripley last week, it will be interesting to see who backs her tonight if a brawl breaks out.

#2 Lio Rush defends his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Angel Garza

It may not be a good idea to mock Lio Rush

The rivalry between NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush and challenger Angel Garza has gained a lot of attention in the last few weeks. After the latter decided to insult Rush and his family, the ‘Man of the Hour’ is now determined to silence his rival once and for all by successfully defending his gold in tonight’s title match.

However, it will not be an easy task for Rush. Garza has proved to the WWE Universe that he can pose a serious threat to Rush’s championship reign and has added more intensity to this feud with his actions in the last few weeks.

It will be unfair to rule out the possibility of the Mexican Superstar winning the Cruiserweight Championship tonight. He has taken Rush to his limit and it will be interesting to see the lengths to which Rush could go in order to retain his title.

#1 What’s next for Kushida?

Cameron Grimes has his eyes set on Kushida

Kushida returned to WWE last week after recovering from the wrist injury that kept him out for two months. He was set to face Raul Mendoza in his first match after the long hiatus from the Black and Gold brand but NXT Superstar Cameron Grimes had other plans.

He attacked Mendoza and replaced him in the match that was eventually won by Kushida. Fast forward to this week, a video was uploaded on the official website of WWE in which we saw Grimes laying down a vicious attack on Kushida at the Performance Centre.

Tonight, Kushida will look to address Grime’s actions and the two are likely to lock horns in another match. Considering the fact that this feud is slowly picking up intensity, one can expect both these Superstars to engage in an extended rivalry. Hopefully, their encounter tonight will help us learn more about this unexpected storyline that looks promising on paper.
