WWE News: Former WWE Superstar arrested on multiple charges

What's the story?

Former ECW and WWE superstar, Justin Credible (real name Peter Polaco) was recently arrested on multiple charges. As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Credible was arrested on December 5th on charges of criminal mischief and violating a protection order.

In case you didn't know...

Credible was originally a member of the WWF roster in the early/mid-1990s as Aldo Montoya. It wasn't until he left for ECW that he ultimately made a name for himself.

After ECW folded, he returned to WWE as Justin Credible, competing mainly in hardcore matches. He wrestled for the company from 2001 to 2003, was released, but returned in 2006 before being released again shortly thereafter. Since then, he's been active on the independent circuit but has suffered from substance abuse for much of his career.

He had been arrested in September this year for violating a protection order. He had admitted to calling the police on himself after many months of alcohol abuse and erratic behavior. He also had been accepted into WWE's Substance Abuse recovery program but his issues have persisted.

Before being arrested in September, he was the subject of a documentary called "Credible" based on his life. He isn't doing himself any favors with yet another arrest this year.

The heart of the matter

Pro Wrestling Sheet noted that Credible was arrested and also charged with misdemeanor assault and breach of peace. The site also noted that he is being held for a $50,000 bail. Credible's bail was paid for by the documentary team the last time around. However, there is no information whether they're going to do the same this time as well.

He vowed to complete a 30-day stint in WWE-sponsored rehab after the August arrest but allegedly walked out before his stay was completed.

What's next?

First and foremost, before he does anything further with the documentary, he needs to get his life in order. It's pointless to have your story told when you aren't of sound mind and body. He clearly isn't and needs to get himself right before resuming work with the documentary crew.

Perhaps the crew figures that they can use these last two arrests as material, but it isn't helping the man behind the story if they keep simply bailing him out.

For a company that gets a lot of criticism from outside sources, you cannot fault WWE for its substance abuse programs and willingness to help. They offer it to any and mostly all former employees who have battled/are battling substance abuse issues, and they usually pay for all of it. How many companies do that?

Credible needs to get his life straight as Peter Polaco first and then he can worry about being Justin Credible again.
