WWE Raw: 3 Mistakes WWE made on this week's show

This week's Raw came after a great WWE Stomping Grounds and fair to say, WWE managed to give a few surprises along the way. The flagship show had its fair share of good moments and bad ones but the former outnumbered the bad ones this week.

Also, the Undertaker showed up unannounced, aiding Roman Reigns and saving him from a critical beat down by Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. The same tag team match has been set up for Extreme Rules. Ricochet, the new United States Champion got pinned clean by AJ Styles which was a huge surprise.

Also, Samoa Joe seems to be the new contender for the WWE Championship as he attacked Kofi Kingston after his match against Kevin Owens. One of the biggest talking points from the show was the mixed tag team match that has been set up for Extreme Rules. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a winner takes it all match.

WWE has wasted no time in setting up feuds for the next pay per view and in this slideshow, we take a look at the three mistakes that WWE made this week on the Red Brand:

#3 Overuse of Kofi Kingston on Raw

The current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has been on quite a run since his huge WrestleMania win and at Stomping Grounds, he and Dolph Ziggler put on a show in a Steel Cage and Kofi managed to retain his belt.

What Brand split means is that the two champions should be seen the most on their separate brands but since the Wild Card rule, Kofi has been seen on both brands and this week, we saw him compete in two back to back matches and also take a beat down from Samoa Joe.

What I fear of WWE is that by showing too much of Kofi on TV, they will end up decreasing the momentum that KofiMania has gathered since March. Nevertheless, his feud with Samoa Joe will surely freshen things up.

#2 The new United States Champion being pinned clean

AJ Styles and Ricochet competed in a spectacular main event

The match between Ricochet and AJ Styles main evented this week's Raw and fair to say, it lived up to expectations. The two babyfaces put on a show but the result didn't really make any sense. Why would you pin the newly crowned United States Champion a night after he won it?

This loss not only made Ricochet look weak but also the WWE lost a great opportunity to build up momentum for Ricochet title reign. Nevertheless, the match itself was a show stealer and I would be up for a feud between Ricochet and AJ for the United States Championship in the near future.

#1 The mixed tag team match at Extreme Rules

Rematches from Stomping Grounds

When Becky Lynch aided Seth Rollins in his match against Baron Corbin at Stomping Grounds, I thought it was a one-off but Vince seems to have taken this thing pretty seriously as he set up a winner takes it all mixed tag team match at Extreme Rules between the Man and the Architect against Corbin and Lacey Evans.

There are many reasons why this match makes no sense to me. First, this match is too predictable as there is no chance in hell that Vince McMahon would let Seth and Becky lose their belts now as both of them are absolute fan favorites.

Second, both Lacey and Corbin have got their rematches, where both of them have lost almost every time they have faced Becky and Seth respectively. To be fair, this feud is dragging and it won't be long before the WWE Universe stops caring about this feud.
