There were some shocking botches this week on RAW

WWE RAW: 5 Botches you missed this week (December 9th, 2019)

Monday Night RAW took over Greenville, South Carolina last night in the final episode of the show ahead of this weekend's TLC pay-per-view and whilst several matches were finally made official and other storylines continued to build, there were also some shocking mistakes throughout the show.

Lana and Rusev kicked off the show as their divorce was finally made official before it was then announced that Bobby Lashley and Rusev will face off on Sunday night in a Tables match. Seth Rollins finally turned heel when it was revealed that he was the man behind the recent attacks on Kevin Owens at the hands of AOP and Rey Mysterio managed to retain his United States Championship thanks to Randy Orton, who currently has a few issues with The OC.

It was another stacked show, but there were some interesting botches that you may have missed throughout the episode.

Lana's divorce didn't go to plan

Rusev and Lana finally brought an end to their marriage this week when their divorce was overseen by both a lawyer and Jerry "The King" Lawler. The couple signed the papers after a back and forth where they attempted to insult one another until Bobby Lashley made his way to the ring.

Lashley and Rusev brawled in the ring before The Almighty looked to throw Rusev to the outside but there was no power behind his throw so Rusev had to throw himself to the outside. Earlier in the segment, Rusev is waiting for Lashley to bounce him off the table for a while before he looks up and the former Champion finally remembers that he has a spot to deliver. Thankfully, this should be the final segment between these three stars for a while.

4. Rey Mysterio's hurricanrana is too powerful

AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio botched a Styles Clash

AJ Styles challenged Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship in this week's main event in what was a fantastic bout between two of WWE's more respected veterans. Many fans were preparing for Randy Orton to make a run in and cause the disqualification, but this didn't happen until almost the end of the match when he ran in but only caused a distraction that allowed Mysterio to retain.

The ending of the match was a real issue since Rey Mysterio was looking to deliver a hurricanrana but he seemed too powerful for Styles, who attempted to catch him in the Styles Clash but both men were pulled off the ropes by the move and then awkwardly tried to stand back up when they were stuck together in the corner.

Styles later delivered the move on the mat instead of the ropes, which shows that the spot was a botch and the added time in the match meant that the stream of RAW actually cut off when Mysterio was still being announced as the winner since Orton helped provide the distraction for him to roll Styles up and retain his Championship.

3. Kairi Sane forgets the rules

Becky Lynch was unable to defeat The Kabuki Warriors

The storyline between Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and The Kabuki Warriors continued last night on RAW as Lynch made her return to the ring for the first time since Survivor Series and competed in a handicap match against Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Lynch technically won the match since Asuka used a chair to force the DQ, but the match itself was full of awkward botches.

The first came when Kairi Sane attempted to blind tag herself into the match, but the referee informed her that the tag rope had to be held if she wanted to make a tag so it didn't count. Sane then realized that her arms were too short to make the tag whilst holding the rope so she completely missed Asuka.

Sane then had to run in and his Lynch randomly before Asuka could make the tag legally in what was a really awkward spot. Asuka was later the one who was botching the move when Lynch looked for the slam but The Empress of Tomorrow didn't jump so she almost pulled Lynch down to the mat with her, before Lynch took over and just powered Asuka up and into the move without her help.

Humberto Carrillo was able to pick up a huge win over Andrade on RAW

Humberto Carrillo took on Andrade last night on RAW and after finding a way of taking Zelina Vega out of the situation, he was able to pick up a huge win over the former NXT Champion, but the victory didn't come without issues.

Earlier in the match, Humberto went for his patented Aztec press and the commentary team stated that "he didn't get all of it" because he didn't get any power behind his usual flip off the ropes and it didn't look like it affected Andrade at all.

Andrade then went for his signature double stomp in the corner but Carrillo seemed overzealous and almost fell off the top rope, so Andrade had to catch him in order to ensure that they were able to go forward with the move without injury.

Carrillo is the subject of a huge push at present, and a win over Andrade means that this is expected to continue on WWE's flagship show, so it's hoped that this was just a bad day at the office for the former 205 Live star.

Kevin Owens was out for some revenge last night on RAW after being attacked by AOP twice over the past few weeks. The former Universal Champion headed to the ring with a steel pipe in order to ensure that this time he came out on top, but AOP didn't come out to the ring to meet him.

Owens took out his anger on Mojo Rawley instead, before the then headed backstage in search of the former NXT Tag Team Champions, but he wasn't happy with what he found.

Owens came across AOP's truck and decided to attack that with the steel pipe instead before he managed to get inside, it was then that AOP decided to attack Owens and Rollins was then revealed as the man hiding inside and controlling the duo.

Rollins Curb Stomped Kevin Owens onto the concrete backstage and he then had to be attended to by medical staff. As seen from the video below, they had some trouble getting Owens into the ambulance on the stretcher when they were once again shown backstage.
