WWE RAW - 5 Surprises that could happen- Suspended Superstar returns, Randy Orton pulls the ultimate swerve

This week's episode of WWE RAW will certainly be a show to watch out for because while the fallout show after Survivor Series was lackluster, the build to TLC needs to get underway in a big way to get the audience invested in the pay-per-view.

And so, one or more surprises could certainly happen during the course of WWE RAW this week and we shall write and list 5 possible scenarios that may transpire.

While all of them may happen during the show, there's always a great possibility that none of them may happen on WWE RAW either, and so before we commence with this article, just note that this article is based on speculation and not on inside knowledge.

Here are 5 major surprises that could potentially happen during WWE RAW.

#5 Braun Strowman returns in some manner to WWE RAW and becomes Drew McIntyre's TLC opponent

We know that Braun Strowman has been suspended by WWE management for laying his hands on a WWE official. We also know that rumors indicate that it will be Braun Strowman who takes on Drew McIntyre at TLC. So, the very fact that he has been suspended could play into what transpires on WWE RAW this week, with Braun Strowman crashing the party and claiming that he deserves a shot in the main event match.

The very fact that WWE is making such a big deal of a kayfabe suspension is an indicator that Braun Strowman will make a comeback on WWE RAW and book himself a ticket against Drew McIntyre at TLC.

Not a lot of people on the WWE RAW roster tower over Drew McIntyre but Braun Strowman certainly sizes up fantastically against him.

#4 While Alexa Bliss waits for Randy Orton on RAW, he burns down the Firefly Fun House set

Special thanks to Phillipa from Sportskeeda who helped out with this suggestion, when the WWE RAW segment with Randy Orton appearing on 'A Moment of Bliss' was first announced this week. As Alexa Bliss waits for Randy Orton to show up to the ring for her segment, Randy Orton could appear on the big screen on WWE RAW and burn down the Firefly Funhouse set.

This could be a genuine throwback to the time when Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were both a part of the Wyatt Family on SmackDown, and the former gained the trust of the cult leader only to burn his compound to the ground.

Obviously, their feud on WWE RAW is a nod to that classic segment from oh so long ago. The fact that the segment has been referenced so often on the Firefly Fun House is a clear indication of the same, and you know it.

Randy Orton can play mind games too, you know!

#3 Jeff Hardy enters the US Championship picture on WWE RAW against Bobby Lashley

How one can have someone like Jeff Hardy in the active WWE RAW roster and not have a spot for him every single week is a question that truly boggles the mind.

Jeff Hardy is almost certain to enter the WWE Hall of Fame someday and he's in the sunset of his career at the moment, although the manner in which he wrestles on the WWE RAW brand is no different from how he wrestled almost twenty years ago.

How cool would it be to see Jeff Hardy elevate the WWE United States Championship in much the same manner that he did with the Intercontinental Championship with Sami Zayn and AJ Styles? Jeff Hardy could bring the hurt to The Hurt Business on WWE RAW and take them on in a series of exciting contests.

Could Bobby Lashley vs. Jeff Hardy get started on this week's edition of WWE RAW, and maybe culminate in a fantastic ladder match at the upcoming edition of TLC?

#2 A Champion vs. Champion match is confirmed with WWE RAW Women's Champion Asuka for TLC 2020

Not everyone has been a fan of how the WWE RAW Women's Champion Asuka has been booked thus far. And ever fewer people are fans of Asuka entering the WWE Tag Team Championship picture with Lana in tow, as she goes up against WWE RAW stars Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. There is only one possibility that makes sense and we could certainly see it get announced on this week's episode of WWE RAW.

Lana has gone through enough tables and so, on this week's episode of WWE RAW, a table match could be made for TLC where Asuka and Lana team up to take on Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax with a special stipulation.

All of the titles could be on the line, meaning that if Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax win, then they win Asuka's WWE RAW Women's Championship (which could be decided in a singles match between the two Tag Team Champions). It will shake the women's division up quite significantly.

#1 RETRIBUTION attacks the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day and demand a title shot against them

The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day came up short against The Street Profits at Survivor Series. But now, they have to keep their titles in grasp on their own brands against the opponents that come their way.

Following their recent victory on WWE RAW and the fact that they weren't rewarded for the same, it is all too likely that RETRIBUTION may earn a title shot against The New Day, with two members of the stable going up against the current WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.

Even if they come up short against the Champs, it will still be the most significant thing that these gentlemen have done outside the NXT brand, quite honestly.

And speaking of The New Day, do check out Sportskeeda's exclusive conversation with New Day member Big E who's over on the SmackDown brand, right before Survivor Series, where he expressed a variety of opinions on all things wrasslin.
