WWE RAW: 5 Surprises that could happen- Shield reunites for a night with a new member?

Believe it or not, after the implementation of what is known as the Wild Card Rule, there was an increase in terms of viewership. What this essentially goes on to prove is that a surprise, pleasant or not, can keep the audience engaged.

This is a critical week for WWE as it is the go-home show before Money In The Bank. And therefore, WWE will want to keep the momentum up by booking a few more memorable surprises.

Let me try and guess a few of them in this article while you do so in the comments section below. Also weigh in on the surprises I've mentioned and additionally, let me know what you think about them.

#5 Robert Roode takes on Gable

So, we know two of the four SmackDown Live Superstars who are coming to RAW this week as a part of the Wild Card Rule- Roman Reigns and Charlotte Flair. The issue with the Superstar Shake-Up is that a lot of SmackDown Live superstars are not getting any screen time on the blue brand because of the fact that SmackDown Live is only 2 hours long. What this means essentially is that Superstars like Chad Gable need to come to RAW for screen time.

Now, we all know that Bobby Roode is Robert Roode again. He is the closest thing to being a heel once again since his NXT run. What he has not enjoyed is a decisive victory which would have launched him to the very top of the mountain.

I think Gable and Roode should face off in a match that proves that Roode has become a heel. He should score a decisive victory.

#4 Sami Zayn costs Braun Strowman his big match

One of the matches that's been announced for WWE RAW this week pits Drew McIntyre against Braun Strowman. Now ordinarily, Braun Strowman is a clear favorite in almost any situation that he is put into. He is by far the most protected Superstar in the WWE roster by a fair margin.

But Drew McIntyre is clearly the WWE Superstar who's getting a push right now and I think that one of the ways that he can win the contest is by having Sami Zayn interfere and cost him the match. And he can continue to do this, all the way until Money in The Bank. Do not forget that Strowman tossed Zayn right into a dumpster.

This could kickstart a feud between the two men. That would be fun to watch.

#3 New Tag Team Champions crowned on RAW

On last week's episode of WWE RAW, we saw how The Viking Raiders comprehensively defeated Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, the current RAW Tag Team Champions in a tag team contest. This essentially means that they have earned a shot at the Champions.

Could we see the crowning of brand new Champions on this week's episode of RAW? Bear in mind that Ryder and Hawkins have had a longer reign than any of us thought possible.

The Viking Raiders are being given a massive push on TV and it is clear that they could be next in line for a golden opportunity. They could make the Tag Team division relevant once again by feuding with the likes of The Usos and hopefully, even The Revival, if WWE begins to take them seriously again.

The United Kingdom crowd will also appreciate a title change!

#2 Pete Dunne joins The Shield for a night

Do not forget that WWE RAW will emanate from London in England this week. Which essentially means that WWE will want to do something special for the fans in the United Kingdom, if only for a night. What if they actually do a Shield reunion with a special member?

We all know that AJ Styles and The Club could potentially come together. Things aren't the smoothest between Styles and Rollins right now, ahead of their clash for the Universal Championship. But what if Rollins and Reigns call upon The Bruiserweight Pete Dunne to team up with them, if only for one night only?

The crowd at home will love it because it essentially means that they can watch Rollins and Reigns reunited again. The live audience will love a chance to see their local favorite allied with two of the world's biggest sports entertainers.

#1 Walter defends the United Kingdom Championship on RAW

Speaking about Crossovers, how cool would it be to see the United Kingdom Championship defended on WWE RAW? Someone like Walter could potentially take on a legend like Bobby Lashley in a match between two real powerhouses.

Not only would this be a fresh contest for fans, but it would also highlight the United Kingdom Championship like it needs to be. A lot of WWE fans, myself included, do not watch NXT UK on a regular basis because of the sheer abundance of wrestling that I have to watch anyway.

AEW is on the horizon and one or more of these surprises could certainly make the WWE audience interested in the product once more, I think. Because the interest in the WWE product has been on a real wane since WrestleMania.
