WWE RAW: 5 Surprises that could happen - Unlikely tag team formed, Unexpected new Champion crowned

There is only one episode of WWE RAW before TLC comes around and the funny part is that no matches have been announced from WWE RAW yet. And this could be because all of the missing components could potentially come together on this week's big show.

With that in mind, this could certainly be a very interesting episode of WWE RAW, in my opinion. Everyone will be tuned in to the show to see what could potentially happen and this could lead to some exciting surprises.

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you'd like to see any of the surprises that I've mentioned in this particular list. Also feel free to suggest any surprises that you would want to see, as well.

WWE TLC 2019 will be the last pay-per-view of the year and a lot could happen to hype up the grand event.

#5 Kevin Owens agrees to team up with Seth Rollins, to take on the AoP

So Seth Rollins has a chance to go heel at TLC and I'm guessing that will be the big news coming out of the pay-per-view event. Because Kevin Owens cannot take on The AoP alone, I'm guessing that he will have to enlist the help of Seth Rollins to help even the odds.

I'm guessing that if this is the route that WWE decides to go down, we may even see Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens team up in a teaser of the action that could ensue at TLC. Maybe the two of them are successful on this week's show, making us think that they can coexist at the pay-per-view too.

Do you guys think that Seth Rollins as a heel is the way to go now or do you think that WWE needs him as a babyface?

#4 Drew McIntyre added to the United States Championship match, becomes Champion

Nobody will say no to the idea of another match between Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles but what if the match could be made even bigger than it is right now? I mean somehow, Ricochet, Humberto Carillo, Drew McIntyre, and Randy Orton exist in the title picture too, if only lying in the fringes of the current scenario!

Of all the contenders, I would say that Drew McIntyre has the best chance of becoming the next United States Champion because a decision like this would come out of nowhere and be exactly the kind of swerve that the WWE Universe needs right now. One can make the argument that Drew McIntyre should have been a much bigger deal than he is right now and one of the reasons for this is the lack of gold that he's been privy to, since his big return.

And then the feud between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton can be for the United States Championship that makes the program very special indeed, especially if you factor in the fact that Brock Lesnar is not around at the moment.

#3 Rusev and Lana swerve Bobby Lashley

So, thanks to the storyline between Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley, Rusev is finally getting over as a babyface and while the reaction to the segments has been brutal on Twitter, the same storyline has certainly made Rusev a very popular babyface. He is a lot more popular now than he ever was at any point during his career.

This is why the official divorce proceedings that have been planned for this week's show will certainly not go as planned, in my opinion. While I don't want to necessarily see this unfold, I have a feeling Rusev and Lana will swerve Bobby Lashley, to prove that they were always on the same side.

I know that this may make Rusev a heel again but I doubt that, in the age of the internet, the audience will buy into the idea of a happily married couple divorcing on-screen at all. It will also bring Lana and Rusev back together, which is when all the magic truly happens, does it not.

Maybe this will allow Bobby Lashley to slowly slip out of this storyline. Maybe he challenges Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

#2 Charlotte Flair finds an ally against the Kabuki Warriors

There has been a lot of talk about how Charlotte Flair needs to be booked better because she has never felt as irrelevant in her career as she does now. I can only imagine that the current, ongoing storyline is to elevate some new star to Charlotte Flair's level. And this is because The Queen will certainly need an ally to take on The Kabuki Warriors and overcome the numbers game.

Asuka and Kairi Sane seem to have Charlotte Flair's number at this particular point in time. Could we potentially see someone like Liv Morgan show up and team up with Charlotte Flair to take the Kabuki Warriors out? Could we maybe even see Sarah Logan take up this coveted spot?

The fact of the matter is that Charlotte Flair is the most prominent WWE Superstar in the women's division and anyone who's put in the same league as her, immediately gets elevated in the eyes of fans. While Becky Lynch could always potentially make a return to action as Charlotte Flair's teammate or even Natalya, there's an interesting opportunity that presents itself that needs to be capitalized on!

#1 Physical altercation with Samoa Joe

So, before WWE TLC comes around, I would recommend that you check out Sportskeeda's own Gary Cassidy and Tom Colohue previewing the show and also discussing news ahead of the event next weekend. They also talk about a variety of other things, in particular, the upcoming Royal Rumble, naming their picks for the show.

And speaking of WWE TLC, one would assume that someone will go through a table to set up a match with a 'tables' stipulation at the show. One of the ways to do that would be to go up the ramp and have someone send another Superstar, through the commentary desk.

Samoa Joe will be seated at the desk and if indeed this is the angle that WWE chooses to do, they could potentially set up a feud that can lead to Joe making his big return to the ring at the Royal Rumble to take this person out. Maybe someone like Randy Orton or Drew McIntyre could be perfect for this role.

If Drew McIntyre is indeed the chosen one (no pun intended), it will also allow Samoa Joe to turn babyface when he makes his return.
