WWE RAW before Extreme Rules: 5 reasons why Bray Wyatt should be Roman Reigns’ mystery partner

Roman Reigns is set to partner The Undertaker to face Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules in a week’s time. Before that, however, he will have to face them on RAW before Extreme Rules.

His partner hasn’t been publicly revealed yet, as a host of Superstars could roll with him. There are a plenty of good options to choose from but one that would stand out is Bray Wyatt.

The Eater of the Worlds hasn’t been in the ring for a long time now. In fact, he had completely disappeared before WrestleMania and was only shown on TV after the conclusion of the Show of Shows.

With his Firefly Fun House segments on RAW ending, here are 5 reasons why Wyatt should be the one to partner Roman Reigns in battle against the two big heels of WWE.

#5 Wyatt has teased it

Ever since he reinvented himself as a children’s show host, he has been using Twitter to apologize to the people that he had wronged in the past – and one among them is Roman Reigns.

So when WWE announced on Twitter that Roman Reigns would take on his Extreme Rules opponents with a mysterious partner, Wyatt took the opportunity to tease his in-ring return.

He simply replied to the tweet saying “Remember”. While this could end up being Wyatt playing with the minds of the fans and not actually appearing alongside Reigns, there is also a chance that WWE decide to pull the trigger regarding Wyatt’s in-ring return.

Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse members have been appearing in the background on RAW for some time now, so the next RAW might just have Wyatt himself in it.

#4 They have a history

These two share a history

Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns have a long history together, mostly as enemies. Their feud following Money in the Bank 2015 had some memorable moments. However, there is one moment which stood out among the rest.

When Roman Reigns was surrounded by the League of Nations, the Wyatt Family came to their old foe’s rescue. Right now, the team of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre are doing the same against Reigns, so it would be nice to see Wyatt roll back the years.

#3 Comeback as a face

He should come back as a face before eventually turning to the dark side

What this would also do is establish Wyatt as a face. The Eater of the Worlds has been a heel for most of his time in the company but his Firefly Fun House segments have made him a fan favorite.

So, it would be unwise to bring him back as a heel because he would almost certainly be cheered like never before when he makes his comeback. As a result, it would be a good move to capitalize on this by making him return as a face and then turn him in to a villain at some point.

#2 About time Wyatt returns

He has to return

I honestly can’t remember, without the help of Google, the last time I saw Bray Wyatt in the ring. Like mentioned earlier, he had vanished from TV until WrestleMania this year.

After that, he made his re-appearance as the host of Firefly Fun House. While the first episode got mixed reviews, the segment got better with each passing week, making fans wait in anticipation for his in-ring return.

And now, for the last two weeks, his Firefly Fun House buddies have been stalking other wrestlers on TV, indicating towards a return for the man himself. While his segments and the subsequent build-up has been great, it is about time he shows up in the ring.

If, however, WWE keeps dragging his in-ring return for too long, they might start losing the fans’ interest towards Bray Wyatt – and that would be a shame after months of investment.

#1 Fans would love it

Fans would go berserk

Isn’t that obvious? The fans are eagerly waiting for Bray Wyatt’s in-ring return, for him to have a meaningful feud with someone. However, WWE hasn’t been able to deliver it yet.

One just has to look at social media if they want to know how much the fans want him to return. In fact, the aforementioned tweet of Wyatt asking the fans to “remember” Reigns, alongside a mysterious partner, take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre has gotten many of them excited.

Most of them want him as Reigns’ partner, reminiscing the time when the pair took on Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus on RAW.

So if Wyatt takes on Reigns, a fan favorite, against McIntyre and McMahon, two of the most disliked heels, and beat them, it would automatically make the fans go berserk.

It would be the content they signed up for.
