WWE RAW Results August 3rd, 2020: Winners, Grades, Video Highlights for latest Monday Night RAW

RAW kicked off after a suspicious malfunction with the lighting in the arena. As the real US Champion Apollo Crews made his entrance the lights went out once more and the commentators attributed it to bad weather in the area.

Apollo Crews was finally back after suffering from an injury right before Extreme Rules. MVP got on the mic before the match and said that he was the real US Champ and will prove that by beating Apollo tonight.

MVP was in control early on as he locked in a submission but Apollo managed to reverse it into a pin for a near fall. The lights in the arena were flickering as the match went on and we headed for an ad break.

We returned to RAW to see MVP get two near falls and then used the ropes to hurt Apollo's previously injured neck. MVP charged at Apollo in the corner but missed, allowing Crews to hit a kick and a spinebuster for a near fall.

Crews hit a toss powerbomb and picked up the win, retaining his title. Bobby Lashley tried for the Full Nelson on Crews after the match but the champ dodged it before walking off.

Backstage on RAW, Crews was ecstatic about his victory while at ringside MVP blamed it on the flickering lights and said Apollo stole his title. MVP wanted a rematch at SummerSlam before walking off.

We got news that Shane McMahon was in the arena to make an interesting announcement later on RAW.

Sasha Banks and Bayley were backstage and showed us a mini documentary about themselves and Banks' win over Asuka.

Asuka appeared on the screen showing the documentary on RAW and interrupted Bayley and Banks' presentation to say that her revenge 'will be sweet'. The champs were furious before Shayna Baszler came in and punched Banks in the face.

Kevin Owens was backstage on RAW before The IIconics walked up to him and asked to be on the KO Show. Owens said that he already had a guest for tonight and walked off.

Kevin Owens was in the ring to host the KO Show and his guest was Ruby Riott. Riott spoke about her rivalry with The IIconics before talking about her lost friendship with Liv Morgan.

Owens called Morgan out on RAW, her first appearance since June, and KO asked them to try and work things out. Riott explained her actions from before and asked Liv to join the Riott Squad again before the IIconics made their entrance.

The mics kept cutting out as The IIconics talked about how much better they are than Riott and Morgan. Liv fired back at them and it looked like she was back on Riott's team.

The IIconics challenged the Riott Squad to a match before they slapped Owens twice for interfering. Owens let The Riott Squad attack the IIconics and we headed for another break on RAW.

Back on RAW, the match was underway with Riott and Kay in the ring. Royce was tagged in early and Riott was in trouble as the IIconics kept the pressure on with submission moves. Kay was back in and they were keeping Riott form making the tag but Morgan got the tag eventually and came in with a dropkick from the ropes to Royce.

Morgan took Kay down and got a sudden pin on her for the quick victory. The IIconics were furious and were about to hit a combined finisher on Liv but Riott made the save and took out Kay together with their own finisher.

Result: Riott Squad def. The IIconics

We learned that some boxes fell over due to the power outages and could have injured someone before MVP found out that Crews had accepted his challenge for the US Title backstage on RAW.

Shelton Benjamin came in and said that his 24/7 title was stolen during the power outages on RAW.


Drew McIntyre was out next and said that Randy's attack last week was pathetic and something legends like The Rock and Stone Cold would never have done. He compared his struggle to the top to Randy's, who was handed everything for being a legend's son.

Randy came out with Ric Flair and said that he wanted to be there and fight people like Drew for their titles. Drew said Randy was everything that was wrong with WWE and that even though people like The Undertaker and Edge had helped Randy up, he never returned the favor for anyone in the current roster.

Drew vowed to avenge everyone in the locker room that Orton took down with his punt kick and was bringing the receipts. This rivalry just got a lot more real!

Nia Jax was backstage on RAW talking to the official she had attacked previously.

Kevin Owens was talking to Riott and Morgan backstage on RAW when Ric Flair approached him to tell him to mind his own business. Owens challenged Randy to a match next week in return.

Nia Jax was out next on RAW and was about to apologize after being fined for attacking the official, Pat Buck. She instead challenged the official to a match before insulting him even more. Buck instead suspended Nia indefinitely before Jax attacked him again and kicked him out the ring before walking out.

R-Truth, Akira Tozawa's Ninjas, and Shelton Benjamin rushed the ring before we headed for a break on RAW. We returned to see Benjamin and Tozawa in the ring and Truth had the title.

Tozawa fled the ring as Benjamin kicked the crap out of Truth in the ring. Tozawa returned for a surprise roll-up on the champ but was hit with a powerbomb by Benjamin.

Truth came back in with some big kicks but Shelton took him down before a ninja attacked him. Lashley and MVP took out the ninja's at ringside as Tozawa hit a top rope senton on Truth and picked up the win on RAW to become the new 24/7 Champion.

Result: Akira Tozawa won the triple threat match and is the new 24/7 champion

Shane McMahon was seen in front of what looked like an unsanctioned wrestling event that he called RAW Underground and told us to tune in after RAW.

Dominick Mysterio was backstage on RAW and said that his head wasn't in the right place after his dad was blinded at Extreme Rules. He challenged Rollins to a match at SummerSlam before walking out.

Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks

Banks slapped Shayna right out of the gate and was hit with two suplexes and a kick to the spine. Baszler stomped on Banks' hand before locking in an armbar but Sasha got out. Bayley interfered, letting Sasha get some moves in on Shayna.

Shayna got back in control and was hit with a crossbody from up top. Shayna hit a backbreaker and then countered the Banks statement before they both were knocked out by each other's kicks.

Asuka snuck up on ringside and took out Bayley before Sasha was forced to run out of the ring and the match was called off.

Result: DNF

Asuka was in the ring and demanded a rematch for the RAW women's title at SummerSlam. Shayna Baszler came in and said that she was rooting for Asuka but will beat her first. Sasha Banks came out and said that Asuka will get her rematch, but only if she can beat Bayley next week.

Demi Burnett from the Bachelor was backstage with Angel Garza before we got another sneak peek at RAW Underground with Shane McMahon hosting it.

There was music, dancing, and apparently no rules at RAW Underground. We saw Dabba-Kato beat two opponents before we got back to RAW.

The Street Profits were out on RAW and made some jokes before saying that they were done playing nice with Andrade and Garza.

Dawkins was in control as he tossed Garza out of the ring and we headed for a break. Back on RAW, Garza was struggling as Dawkins hit a slam and then a dropkick, getting a few near falls as Demi was watching from backstage.

Garza came back with a dropkick and went for the Wing Clipper but was countered. Dawkins hit a big move and Montez was cheering so hard that he passed out at ringside. Dawkins was concerned about Ford and went to check on him, allowing Garza to get the Superkick and a dropkick for the win on RAW.

Montez Ford vs. Andrade

Ford was managing to keep Andrade in his grasp early on but Andrade managed to get the upper hand quickly on RAW. He used the ropes to choke out Ford before hitting some kicks as Ford looked to not be in the best shape.

Andrade was sent into the barricades and turned the match around but was knocked down. Ford made a comeback with a clothesline and then a dive before he passed out again after doing his celebration on the ropes. The match had to be called off on RAW.

Result: DNF

Murphy was watching his attack on Black from last week on his phone before Rollins told him to focus on the future. Murphy asked about Dominick's challenge but Rollins just smiled and walked off on RAW.


We were back on RAW Underground and Erik from the Viking Raiders knocked out a challenger.

Backstage on RAW, Montez was in the doctor's office and Andrade & Garza were outside with Zelina Vega. Dawkins and Bianca Belair came out and said Montez had been poisoned before the match. Bianca blamed Vega and attacked her.

We got to see footage from before RAW started, of some people attacking a power generator outside of the arena which might be the cause for the power outages.

MVP and his crew were backstage on RAW and claimed that they were sabotaged before they headed towards the RAW Underground ring.

Rollins and Murphy were out next and Rollins called out Tom Phillips, asking if he was a true professional at his job. He said last week during Dominick's attack, Phillips was cheering Mysterio on, which was not something he should be doing.

Rollins instructed Murphy to 'take Phillips' and Samoa Joe stepped out to defend his colleague. Rollins warned Joe about interfering and Joe was not backing down. Rollins invited Joe into the ring before we headed for commercials on RAW.

Samoa Joe was ready to face Seth Rollins but he and Murphy had steel chairs to defend themselves. Dominick Mysterio attacked Rollins & Murphy with a Kendo Stick and beat them back to the locker room. Rollins fled the ring and was furious as he accepted his SummerSlam challenge.

Dolph Ziggler got his first win on RAW Underground before MVP, Lashley and Benjamin took over the show. Lashley took down his first opponent in two moves before MVP stepped in.

They bullied a random guy into stepping in the ring with MVP before Benjamin got in as well. The three then started beating up everyone that was there and cleared the whole area before RAW was done.

We got an action-packed episode of RAW with the introduction of RAW Underground, the reunion of the Riott Squad, Drew McIntyre calling out Randy Orton and three SummerSlam matches being announced.
