Without further ado, let's begin with the two headline-makers:

Vince McMahon rejects Randy Orton's storyline idea

Randy Orton and The Revival were working together earlier this year and it looked like they were set to become the heel faction everyone wanted in the show. However, things were cut short quickly and now they are on different brands.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp is now reporting that Randy Orton was keen on working with The Revival and pitched ideas to Vince McMahon directly. The WWE Chairman was not interested and rejected them outright.

"We're told by multiple sources that Orton pushed to do more work with them [The Revival], even going as far as pitching a faction to Vince McMahon personally. The idea fell on deaf ears and Orton and the Revival were put on different brands in the WWE draft."

Orton teased a move to All Elite Wrestling last month and reports suggest that his contract expires next year. The Revival were also linked with moves to AEW but WWE did not grant them their release and have been trying to tie them down to new contracts.

Original plans for Brock Lesnar

Renee Young teased a 'big announcement' on WWE Backstage last week. Reports suggest that the announcement was supposed to be about Brock Lesnar moving to RAW.

The Beast Incarnate and Paul Heyman instead had to open the show on SmackDown as the WWE Superstars who traveled to Saudi Arabia could not reach back on time. The WWE champion has set his sights on Rey Mysterio after the attack on him at Crown Jewel.

WWE Superstars were stuck in Saudi Arabia after the pay-per-view as their flight was delayed. Reports suggest that there were some issues with their plane, causing a delay.

Talking about the incidents, AJ Styles said on his Mixer stream:

"We’ll find out as we go along why things happened or we won’t. I don’t know what’s gonna happen going forward. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be. And If I did find out and I was offended, I would go to the source. Believe me on that one."

While rumors suggest that the relationship between WWE and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority has been bad, the company has announced that the deal has been expanded! Their press release said:

Following the historic Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, WWE (NYSE: WWE) and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) have expanded their live event partnership through 2027 to include a second annual large-scale event. WWE and GEA also continue to work towards the completion of a media agreement in the MENA region. This long-term partnership demonstrates WWE and GEA’s commitment to bring sports entertainment to the region and supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Jerry 'The King' Lawler is set to be involved in a career vs title match at Championship Wrestling of Arkansas (CWA). The match will take place on January 18th, 2020 against Arkansas Heavyweight Champion 'The LVR Boy' Matt Riviera.

The company released a statement that read:

Championship Wrestling of Arkansas (CWA) has officially announced that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler has agreed to put his in-ring career on the line against the Arkansas Heavyweight champion, "The LVR Boy" Matt Riviera, Title vs. Career, at CWA's "No Surrender" event at the Maumelle Event Center in North Little Rock, AR on Saturday, January, 18th, 2020.
These two men have been engaged in a war that has lasted nearly 4 years, and has spilled into multiple wrestling promotions all over the Mid-South area, including their infamous Thunderdome Cage Match. At "No Surrender", the war will come to an end resulting in either Matt Riviera losing his treasured Arkansas Heavyweight title, or the final match in the historic wrestling career of Jerry "The King" Lawler.

The King is back doing commentary on Monday Night RAW and there is no way he will be making an in-ring return in WWE. However, he has wrestled in 11 matches so far this year, but that could be coming to an end soon.
