WWE SmackDown Results April 10th, 2020: Winners, Grades, Video Highlights for latest Friday Night SmackDown

Braun Strowman kicked off SmackDown and was celebrating his Universal Championship win at WrestleMania when Shinsuke Nakamura interrupted him. Braun asked what he wanted and Nakamura challenged him, through a silly knock-knock joke.

Braun accepted but it wasn't clear if it would be a title match. Cesaro tried to attack Braun from behind but Strowman was too quick and knocked him off the apron. Nakamura hit a big kick to the champ's head before retreating.

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross (c) vs. The Kabuki Warriors - Women's Tag Title match

Another great win for the champs

The Kabuki Warriors were dominating early by bringing Bliss into their corner and separating her from Cross. The tag was made and Asuka had the upper hand on Nikki Cross soon enough. Sane tagged in for a running forearm smash/hip attack in the corner before Cross kicked out at two.

Cross rolled Asuka up for a two before working her way to the corner. Asuka stopped her but was caught in a bulldog. Bliss and Sane tagged in with the Goddess lighting up the Pirate with a series of strikes and a dropkick.

Bliss took out Sane and Asuka on the outside with the Twisted Bliss. Inside the ring, Cross tagged in for the Fisherman's Neckbreaker and got the win.

Result: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross def. The Kabuki Warriors to retain the Women's Tag Titles

We got a recap of Ziggler and Otis' feud over Mandy Rose before Ziggler and Sonya came out to say that the footage from WrestleMania was doctored and that they want the best for Mandy.

Tucker came out and the tables had turned as he now showed Ziggler pictures of Mandy and Otis working out together. He then said that he had to pay Ziggler back for last week and challenged him to a match.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Tucker

With one move, Ziggler stole the win

Tucker was dominating right out of the gate and sent Ziggler outside after delivering a beating in the ring. Tucker was setting up the steel steps but Ziggler went for Tucker's eyes. Tucker sent Ziggler onto the announce table before the match returned to the ring.

The one-sided match continued with near falls after every big move before Dolph managed to counter one of them. A well-timed Superkick allowed Ziggler to pick up a sudden win.

Result: Dolph Ziggler def. Tucker

Miz and Morrison gave us an epic rundown of what went down on WrestleMania week after reminding us that Morrison is the first person in history to defend the tag titles alone while Miz was the first person to have defended it from his couch.

They were giving us a performance of 'Miz & Morrison - Hey Hey, Ho Ho' when the Usos came out and said the Mania match was unfair. They proposed a match with Miz but Miz said that he wasn't medically cleared to fight.

The New Day came out and Big E said that they had consulted with WWE Management and next week, Miz would face Big E and Jey Uso in a triple threat match for the titles.

The Forgotten Sons vs. Lucha House Party

What a debut!

Lince was in trouble in the ring early on and managed to evade a big move and hit a springboard stunner before making the tag. Metalik came in and took a big clothesline from Blake before Cutler came in for a double team for the win. A great debut match from the Forgotten Sons.

Backstage, Alexa and Nikki were feeling unbeatable when Dana Brooke and Carmella challenged them to a friendly title match and they accepted.

Bayley and Banks were out next and gloated about Bayley's title defense and the champ glossed over the fact that Banks did most of the heavy lifting in the match. Tamina came out and challenged Bayley to a one on one match. Bayley instead said that if she could beat Banks, she would get to face her.

Sheamus vs. Cal Bloom

Not a great place to be for a rookie

Sheamus slowly dismantled his opponent and locked him in the ropes before hitting huge chops to the chest of his opponent. Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick for the easy win. Before leaving the set, Sheamus gave Corey Graves a staredown.

Braun Strowman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Braun got the win
Ad

Strowman was dominating early on and Cesaro kept trying to distract the champ from the outside. Nakamura was sent into the barricades before he knocked Braun off the apron with a big kick as we headed for commercials.

Braun flattened Cesaro and Nakamura on the outside before hitting the running powerslam for the win.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Shinsuke Nakamura

We were in the FireFly Funhouse and Wyatt 'rewrote history' after beating Cena but then turned to Braun who had betrayed Wyatt in the past. The other characters joined in as Wyatt asked for an apology. Braun said he wasn't playing his games before Wyatt said he would teach him about sharing by taking away his title. Braun interrupted the funhouse jingle to say that he was ready to face Wyatt at any time.

Not the most exciting episode but we did get to see the Universal Champion in actionas well as a bunch of good promos with the Miz and Morrison being the best of the night.
