WWE SmackDown Results June 25th, 2019: Winners, Grades, Video Highlights for latest SmackDown Live

SmackDown Live kicked off with a recap of last night's assault on Roman Reigns and Shane was angry with The Undertaker's intervention. He put the entire locker room on notice to remind them that he was the boss. Kofi Kingston showed up to the ring with the rest of the New Day and brought up Samoa Joe's attack on the champ.

Dolph Ziggler crashed the party to tell us that he had convinced management to let him face Kofi in a two out of three falls count match and if he won, Ziggler would be able to earn a shot at Kofi's title alongside Samoa Joe at Extreme Rules.

Backstage, The Miz went looking for a match against Shane McMahon and he agreed but added that Miz had to beat Elias first in a two out of three falls count match.

The New Day vs. Daniel Bryan & Rowan

Ad

Xavier Woods and Daniel Bryan started off the match. Rowan tagged Bryan when Woods was not looking. He charged and took down Woods. They isolated him in their corner, as Big E paced in his own corner.

Woods tripped Rowan up and managed to get a tag to Big E. Rowan tagged in Daniel Bryan, Big E ran through Bryan and hit a Belly to Belly Suplex. He went for the Big Splash, but Bryan got his knees up and put on the LaBelle Lock and Xavier Woods had to break it up. Big E and Xavier Woods hit the Midnight hour on Daniel Bryan and got the pin.

Results: New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) def. Daniel Bryan & Rowan

Woods and Big E were attacked from behind by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. They beat down the New Day with Rowan and Bryan but Heavy Machinery ran out to save the day.

Daniel Bryan & Rowan, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Heavy Machinery & The New Day

Rowan Superplexed Tucker while Bryan hit the running knee to Big E who went in to break the pin. Rowan hit the iron claw to Woods before Otis recovered and demolished Sami Zayn as KO watched, and then left the match.

Otis hit the elbow and then tagged in Tucker to hit the Compactor for the pin.

Result: Heavy Machinery & The New Day def. Daniel Bryan & Rowan, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

The Miz vs. Elias - 2 out of 3 falls

The Miz started off strong but an interruption from Shane caused Elias to hit a knee to the face and get the first pin in the match.

Elias:1 - Miz: 0

The match was reset and Elias was in control and the crowd was cheering for the Miz.

The Miz vs. Elias - 2 out of 3 falls (contd...)

The Miz took back control with Double Knees in the corner and a huge DDT but failed to get a pin. Miz hit the 'it' kicks before Shane interrupted again. This time Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale but Shane broke the pin and earned Miz a DQ fall.

Elias:1 - Miz: 1

Miz was dragged out of the ring and the duo sent him over the announce tables and then into the barricades. Shane hit a spear as the crowd chanted "No more Shane" and the match was reset. Elias hit his finisher and got the easy win.

Shane and Elias came back for a Coast to Coast which he managed to hit on this occasion.

Finn Balor was being interviewed backstage when he was asked who would be his next opponent. Shinsuke Nakamura showed up to answer the question.

Nikki Cross vs. Bayley

Ad

Nikki Coss tried her best to get Bayley down but Bayley threw her out of the ring. She went for the Suicide Dive but Cross got out of the way. Bayley was hurt and Cross tried to take advantage.

Bayley went for the Crossbody but Nikki avoided it and went for a Crucifix Pin. Bayley kicked out but after a couple of reversals, she stopped Bayley's roll up and managed to pin the champ.

Results: Nikki Cross def. Bayley

Backstage, Drake Maverick came to tell R-Truth how he ruined his life. Truth seemed to have had a change of heart and asked him to get a referee but then reconsidered, saying he loved the title more than Drake loved his wife and ran away.

Ember Moon vs. Sonya DeVille

Ad

Mandy Rose provided the distraction and Sonya pushed Ember Moon headfirst into the ring post. Sonya pinned her within minutes of starting the match.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston - 2 out of 3 falls

Ad

Ziggler took control early with a headlock but Kofi got out of it and landed some fists. The champ hit the dropkick but it was only a two-count. Kofi got a quick roll-up and got his first pinfall.

Kofi: 1 - Ziggler: 0

Dolph sent Kofi into the barricades and hit the ZigZag on the concrete before the match was reset. Dolph went for a knee on the corner but Kofi blocked it. Ziggler then went for a superkick and got a pinfall of his own.

Kofi: 1 - Ziggler: 1

Ziggler had a submission locked in but Kofi managed to get out before the two traded fists. Dolph hit an elbow drop but Kofi kicked out yet again. The two went through an amazing sequence of moves but no pin attempts were successful.

Ziggler blocked the trouble in paradise and hit the ZigZag but yet another kick out. Kofi got the finisher in and won the match with the second pinfall.
