Who can ever forget The British Bulldog winning the Intercontinental Championship from Bret Hart in front of 80,000 fans packed at the Wembley Stadium? Or Shawn Michaels' in-ring return after four long years to beat Triple H in an unsanctioned street fight. Summerslam is an event that fans look forward to all year and where wrestlers want to put on a show in order to stand out.

Randy Orton's greatest Summerslam moment came back in 2004 when he defeated Chris Benoit to become the youngest World Champion in the history of pro wrestling at the age of just 24.

Since then he has had a rather enjoyable time on the show, winning the world championship at Summerslam on two other occasions. First against Christian at Summerslam 2011 in a No Holds Barred match for the World Heavyweight Championship. And then against Daniel Bryan when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in 2013 to win the WWE Championship.

#4. Bret Hart (7 wins)

Bret Hart comes in at fourth with 7 victories at the 'biggest show of the summer'. He comes one position ahead of Orton because of making fewer appearances at the event.

And Bret perhaps had the most iconic moment in Summerslam history when he was defeated by his brother-in-law, The British Bulldog, for the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Summerslam 1992. The event was held at the legendary Wembley stadium in London and 80,000 rabid British fans packed the place to see Bret take on the Bulldog. It remains one of the highest attendances in WWE history.

#3. Triple (8 wins)

Triple H has had a long and storied Summerslam career.

Triple H has had an interesting set of opponents at Summerslam over the years. He has faced legends like The Rock, Mankind and Shawn Michaels while also wrestling the likes of Eugene and The Great Khali along the way.

Two moments at Summerslam stand out for The Game. The first when he defeated The Rock in a ladder match back in Summerslam 1997 for the Intercontinental Championship. Secondly when he faced Shawn Michaels in HBK's return to wrestling after being out for four years with back injuries.

#2. The Undertaker (10 wins)

Undertaker's
has won at Summerslam on 10 separate occasions.

In his first four appearances at Summerslam, The Undertaker faced Kamala, Giant Gonzalez, Kama aka The Godfather and the Impostor Undertaker. We do not need to tell you that that is not the most impressive set of opponents that one could face at such a huge event.

But since then he has gone on to face illustrious opposition at Summerslam in the form of Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Edge, Mankind, and Kane. This makes his 10 wins at the event even more impressive considering the guys he has gone through to achieve them.

#1. Edge (11 wins)

The Ultimate Opportunist knew how to seize his opportunities at Summerslam

The people that Edge has managed to beat at Summerslam reads like a who's who of pro wrestling. Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, Batista and Chris Jericho are just a few of the legends who have tasted defeat at the hands of the 'Ultimate Opportunist' at Summerslam.

But his greatest achievement at the 'Summer's Greatest Extravaganza' will forever remain the first ever Tables, Ladders & Chairs match that E&C had against The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz back in 2000. It is safe to say that when they have a pay-per-view event named after the match that you made famous almost two decades earlier, you must have had done something special.
