The company is known to bring back the legends for these shows and the same trend has continued this time around as well. The current match card for the event looks like this:

Apart from the match between the Undertaker and Goldberg, the one clash which has grabbed everyone's attention is the bout between Randy Orton and Triple H. The former Evolution members will lock horns once again on 7 June.

#1 Should defeat - To continue his winning streak on PPVs

The Game has not lost a PPV match in the last 12 months

Triple H has always been looked at as someone who puts young talent over, however, in the last 12 months, he has not faced a single young superstar. He had feuded with the Brothers of Destruction in November while at WrestleMania 35, he retired Batista.

HHH has built a rare winning streak on pay-per-views and WWE should not end it at 3. They can have Triple H defeat Randy Orton at Super ShowDown and take this winning streak to 4. WWE can use this streak to put over an upcoming superstar at WrestleMania 36. The streak will add more value to that storyline and will help both Triple H and his opponent.

#1 Should not defeat - Randy Orton does not deserve to lose to a part-timer

John Cena has left but the Viper is still entertaining the WWE Universe

Randy Orton is undoubtedly the best heel on the main roster today. He knows how to get his opponent cheered but at the same time, he has been able to maintain his status as the Superstar who receives the loudest pop when he uses his finisher. Though Randy Orton has been away from the world title picture, he has constantly helped WWE in creating newer stars.

He had a classic feud with AJ Styles in the WrestleMania season. Prior to that, he had a fantastic feud with Jeff Hardy. Also, he has been loyal to the company and has followed its orders. The fact that he lost his WWE Championship to a jobber like Jinder Mahal signifies the aforementioned statement.

Thus, Randy Orton deserves to get a big victory at WWE Super ShowDown. A Triple H loss would not hurt him as much as it would the Apex Predator.

#2 Should defeat - To establish himself as the best member of Evolution

Triple H and Randy Orton were allies for a long time

It seems like WWE wants to establish Triple H as the supreme member of the faction, Evolution. They first announced the faction's reunion for SmackDown 1000, then booked Batista in a meaningless feud with the King of Kings. Now, they are having Randy Orton do the same.

Triple H had lost too many matches in the past few years, and thus, it looks like he wanted to defeat some legends to regain the pole position once again. He even defeated the Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown last year. These victories hint that Triple H wants to be looked at as the strongest legend active in the ring.

Evolution was considered to be the most dominant faction in WWE history, hence the creative team wants to end that story by having Triple H emerge as the best member of the group.

#2 Should not defeat - DQ finish will continue the feud

Remember, WWE has one more Saudi Arabia show this year

WWE should not finish this match in a clean manner because the match would prove to be a meaningless one-off encounter just like the match between John Cena and Triple H. Instead, WWE can tell a story and generate fan interest in the Triple H-Randy Orton feud. Currently, the fans are not that thrilled about the match but they will be extremely excited if WWE adds more stakes to this clash.

A DQ finish at Super ShowDown could help in setting up another clash between the two (perhaps with more characters involved) in the near future. Someone like Batista (you never know!) can interfere and then WWE could have a final triple threat bout at the second Saudi Arabia show where they can determine the best member of Evolution.

It will always be better if WWE decides to continue this saga instead of having either Triple H or Randy Orton walk out with a victory from Super ShowDown.
