WWE Super ShowDown 2019: 3 Reasons why Triple H vs Randy Orton should not happen

WWE is a worldwide phenomenon which is followed by millions all around the globe. Ardent WWE fans are located in every part of the world and it is fair to say that this billion-dollar organisation deserves the appreciation they receive.

Vince McMahon's company is the source of entertainment for millions who simply adore this business. While the fans of sports entertainment are present in every part of the world, there is a certain country in the Middle East which has been growing in terms of WWE's favoured location simply because of its humongous fan base and an obscene amount of money associated with it.

Yes, the country being discussed here is Saudi Arabia, a nation where WWE organised 2 PPVs in 2018 and is set to return in 2019. Vince McMahon truly believes the Middle East is a great market which is why he's going all guns blazing to make it a blockbuster.

Talking about the match card, there is one match which has been confirmed, where Triple H takes on Randy Orton in a singles bout. These 2 names have a long history between them and are two of the biggest names of this industry. But there are a few reasons why this matchup doesn't fit well:

#3 No storyline leading up to the bout/ No reason to fight

Triple H and Randy Orton have squared off on one too many occasions

While The Game and Randy Orton share a long history between them, they don't have any substantial reason to fight right now. They haven't crossed paths for a long time and with Orton's recent feuds being against the likes of Mustafa Ali and Rey Mysterio, this idea of Triple H competing with Randy Orton sounds absurd.

From their Evolution days to the Authority period, Triple H and Randy Orton have been put together on numerous occasions and it is fair to say that the success rate of this historic rivalry has been pretty high.

With all that being said, the idea of Triple H vs Randy Orton might be beneficial in garnering the attention of many due to the star power of these 2 men, but the idea won't sit well with the avid fans of WWE simply because there is no storyline leading up to the bout in Saudi Arabia.

#2 Could have been a WrestleMania classic

Triple H faced Randy Orton at WrestleMania 25

Triple H battled his former protege and Evolution teammate Batista at WrestleMania 35 in an intense matchup where The Game's career was on the line. The match was well received by the WWE Universe as they cheered every bit of it simply because of the stakes associated with it.

Batista had a tremendous rivalry with Triple H back in 2005 and the match at WrestleMania 35 seemed like the perfect way to bring down the curtain on this historic rivalry. Surprisingly, Batista wasn't the only one who prospered under The Game's leadership, as there is one more man who thrived under Triple H's guidance, and that man is Randy Orton.

Triple H and Randy Orton were part of Evolution and since have gone on to compete against each other on numerous occasions. WrestleMania has been no stranger to these two as they've met at the Grandest Stage twice.

A matchup between the two at the Showcase of Immortals would've made a lot of sense as Orton's history with the Game makes him a great candidate to be the one who ends Triple H's in-ring career. Randy Orton ending his former Mentor's career at the Grandest Stage of Them All is something which has WrestleMania written all over it!

#1 Company loses a brilliant opportunity to put over a young prospect

Triple H and Randy Orton are two legends who have achieved every ounce of success this company has to offer. These former teammates have a total of 27 World championships between them and numerous other titles as well, thus confirming their position among the all-time greats.

While these two veterans have the ability to rock any arena, it makes a lot more sense to have some other upcoming stars compete against these 2 legends. The idea is to put over a young prospect as defeating or even facing someone like Triple H or Randy Orton is a brilliant opportunity for a superstar to establish his place on the main roster.

By making Triple H vs Randy Orton happen, WWE will surely miss out on a golden opportunity of establishing a star of tomorrow!
