#5 Roman Reigns

Can the 'Big Dog' put an end to this brutal feud with King Corbin?
Ad

Roman Reigns has been feuding with King Corbin for quite some time now. Their rivalry saw The Big Dog battling against Corbin as well as his loyal subjects in Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and The Revival. It also featured plenty of dog food and the return of The Usos who came out to support their bloodline by backing Reigns.

When the former Universal Champion and the King of the Ring battled it out at Royal Rumble which saw the latter being defeated, the entire WWE Universe thought that their feud was over. Boy, were we wrong…! Now, King Corbin and Reigns are once again set to engage in a match at WWE Super ShowDown.

Considering the fact that both these Superstars will lock horns inside the monstrous cage, any outside interference will be impossible. Hence, Reigns has the opportunity to beat Corbin and end their feud once and for all. It will establish The Big Dog as a more credible competitor who will eventually challenge Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36.

#4 The Street Profits

This could be the turning point for the Street Profits

Ever since their arrival on the main roster, The Street Profits have carved a niche for themselves by being involved in entertaining segments of the program. However, they have rarely found themselves involved in compelling feuds and if that continues, it will definitely hurt their position in the tag team division of the Red brand.

At Super ShowDown, the Street Profits will be taking on Seth Rollins and Murphy in hopes of getting their hands on the Tag team titles. A victory for them will help the creatives in establishing this team as a credible threat instead of keeping them limited to the role of a noisy, overexcited duo. WWE can then have them engage in a brief feud before putting the titles back on Rollins and Murphy.

Following that, the Monday Night Messiah and co. can safely resume their feud with Kevin Owens and his allies. On the other hand, The Street Profits will have the opportunity to capitalize on their push and initiate feuds with the likes of The OC. It will be interesting to see The Architect’s next move after his shrewd techniques don’t help him in retaining his gold.

#3 Bayley

It's crucial for Bayley to pick this historic win at Super ShowDown

For the first time, a women’s championship match will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and this historic match should see the champion retain her title. Last year, Lacey Evans and Natalya made history when they put up the first-ever women’s match in the country and scripted an important chapter in the Women’s revolution.

This year, WWE took it to the next level by announcing that Bayley will be defending her title at Super ShowDown in a monumental booking decision. She will face Naomi who earned the shot at the title by defeating Carmella. After her long hiatus from the company, Naomi is keen on establishing herself as a credible opponent and believes that she has an upper hand as she has never tasted defeat at the hands of Bayley in a single’s match.

This match should end with Bayley retaining her title so that her championship reigns features an impressive victory before she turns her attention towards WrestleMania. She is the longest-reigning (combined) Women’s Champion in the history of the Blue brand but her title reign isn’t nearly as compelling as her RAW counterpart. Therefore, a win in a historic match might help add more credibility to her run as the top Superstars of the Women’s division before she is inevitably involved in a feud with Sasha Banks.

#2 The Miz and John Morrison

Make room for the new tag team champions!

The reunited team of The Miz and John Morrison has managed to gain the attention of the WWE Universe. They have a sense of familiarity with the audience and are quickly rising through the ranks in the SmackDown Tag Team division. They even went on to beat the reigning tag team champions -- Big E and Kofi Kingston -- on two occasions in singles matches.

Following that, The Miz and Morrison defeated the team of Heavy Machinery (Otis and Tucker), Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado), and The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in a fatal four-way tag team match to earn a shot at The New Day’s titles. The two teams will lock horns at the upcoming PPV and Miz and Morrison should walk out of the arena as the Champions by the end of the night.

Between the New Day, The Usos, and The Revival, the Blue brand often finds itself repeating the same storyline over and over again. Hence, a victory for The Miz and Morrison will ensure that the creatives will have something new to work with. Moreover, they are an entertaining team with commendable in-ring abilities which seems enough for WWE to take the risk of putting the tag team titles on a fresh team.

#1 AJ Styles

The 'Phenomenal One' needs to get back on the winning track
Ad

After sustaining an injury at WWE Royal Rumble last month, AJ Styles is now back in action. This week, he was seen attacking Aleister Black and the two Superstars are set to face each other in a dream match on next week’s episode of RAW. Before that, the Phenomenal One has a huge task at hand as he will be participating in a Gauntlet Match for the Tuwaiq trophy at Super ShowDown.

Apart from Styles, this match will feature Andrade, Rey Mysterio, Erick Rowan, Bobby Lashley, and R-Truth. It would be a great opportunity for The OC member to showcase his in-ring prowess and pick a convincing win in this Gauntlet Match. Moreover, it will allow his stable to capture yet another trophy that they can brag about.

Almost everyone is aware of the caliber of The OC, especially when it comes to entertainment. Maybe this win will finally prompt WWE to create engaging segments featuring them and continue with it instead of dropping the ball in two or three weeks' time like they usually do. Moreover, it will be great for the momentum of the former WWE Champion who is rumored to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.
