WWE has once again refrained from revealing the entire match card for the PPV and is expected to surprise us with a few matches and/or stipulations that will be added right ahead of the show. Needless to say, there have been several rumors surrounding the show that could fetch mixed reactions from the fans.

#5 John Morrison returns

Return of the former Champion!

Recently, it was confirmed that John Morrison has signed with WWE and is preparing for his return. Dave Meltzer reported that Morrison was at the Performance Centre to record things related to his arrival and yesterday, the promotion released an emotional promo featuring the Superstar.

Morrison is expected to have a Singles run which rules out the possibility of him returning as one-half of the tag team that will step up to The Viking Raiders’ open challenge for the RAW Tag Team Championship.

The former multi-time Champion could, however, interfere in a Singles match (possibly in The Miz vs Bray Wyatt) and make a statement before WWE starts building up for Royal Rumble, 2020.

Although some may argue that it would be better for Morrison to return in January, WWE can still pull off this move to add excitement to its final PPV of the year. It will be interesting to see what he does upon his return, especially when it comes to choosing between RAW and SmackDown.

#4 Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair defeat The Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team titles

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to overcome the Kabuki Warriors?

Both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have faced the wrath of The Kabuki Warriors as the numbers game was never in their favor. But their respective feuds with Asuka and Kairi Sane forced them to keep their differences aside and challenge the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions for their titles.

The two teams are set to lock horns in a TLC match that could very well be the main event of WWE’s last PPV of the decade. ‘The Man’ established herself as a force to reckon with at the last edition of the PPV and will be keen on doing the same once again. The build-up to this match has also seen Lynch being pushed towards becoming ‘Becky 2-Belts’ once again.

Hence, the latest rumors suggest that Charlotte and Lynch will walk out as the Tag Team Champions tonight. This will also fall in line with WWE’s plans to have Asuka challenge Becky for the RAW Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble, 2020.

#3 The Revival defeat The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

The end of The New Day's title reign?

The Revival and The New Day have been feuding for a long time and they are once again set to lock horns for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at TLC 2019 in a Ladder match. If the latest rumors are to be believed, we will see The Revival defeat Kofi Kingston and Big E for the SmackDown Tag Team titles.

Scott Dawson and Dash Wider defeated The Heavy Machinery, the Lucha House Party, and the team of Mustafa Ali and Chad Gable in a fatal four-way match to earn their title shot. Given their history, one can expect that they will continue to feud with The New Day for a long time and will also feature in a championship match at Royal Rumble.

The New Day members have stated that their feud with The Usos made them better at their job. That rivalry was intense and kept the fans hooked onto the storyline for months. The creatives are hoping to replicate that success in the ongoing title feud between The New Day and The Revival as the latter’s old-school wrestling is expected to account for a fresh perspective towards the tag team division.

#2 Liv Morgan

Could TLC finally be the night?
Ad

Let’s be honest, the rumors about Liv Morgan’s return to WWE in a completely new avatar have been doing the rounds for months, only for our expectations to be dashed. The constant tease from the Superstar via her Twitter account hasn’t helped the cause either.

However, these rumors have gained more substance with WWE rolling out a promo featuring Morgan in the weeks leading up to TLC. It is quite possible that tonight we will see this former Riott Squad member finally return to WWE and initiate a compelling feud while the hype around her character is still intact.

This is the last WWE PPV of the decade and the Creative will leave no stone unturned in adding the best possible shock factors to the show. Since there is no obvious match that could feature her return, it would make sense for her to appear out of nowhere and attack Becky Lynch.

#1 Bray Wyatt brings ‘The Fiend’

'Let him in!'

Bray Wyatt's ‘The Fiend’ was feuding with Daniel Bryan and after the segment in which we saw him pulling the latter’s hair out, Bryan went missing. In the meantime, Bray Wyatt took interest in a new friend who is none other than The Miz.

In the last couple of weeks, we have seen Wyatt traumatize The Miz by bringing the latter’s family into the equation. WWE Creative deserves credit for incredible work in building up this feud, especially if you take into account its short duration. The official word states that The Miz will lock horns with Wyatt and not ‘The Fiend’.

However, the latest backstage rumors suggest that ‘The Fiend’ could still make an appearance. It is expected that The Miz will be ultimately punished by Bray’s alter-ego so that he doesn’t look weak. It is also expected that Daniel Bryan will make an appearance that could prompt 'The Fiend' to make his presence felt.
