WWE RAW Reunion Preview: Huge heel turn, Ex-RAW GM to become champion?

Welcome to a special edition of RAW Preview! This week, it isn't just the RAW Preview, but the RAW Reunion preview! WWE announced this episode in the spur of the moment at WWE Extreme Rules 2019 and it was later revealed that USA Network executives asked them to have this episode.

And tonight, we're going to see a flurry of legends return, including the likes of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Razor Ramon, Kevin Nash/Diesel, and many on-screen former figures such as Eric Bischoff and legendary announcer Lilian Garcia.

Interestingly enough, we're also going to see the return of Alicia Fox after 3 full months after all the controversy that happened. However, that is only the reunion part of it. Let's take a look at the rest of the show and see exactly what you have to look forward to and why you need to tune in tonight!

#5. Will tensions boil between The Man and The Queen Of Harts?

Will Natalya get in The Man's head?
Ad

Natalya is going to look to replicate the magic of 2017 when she beat Naomi to become SmackDown Women's Champion. It's been two years since and Natalya earned her way into contention last week by beating Carmella, Naomi and Alexa Bliss in a Fatal-4-Way elimination match.

While Natalya was friendly to Becky Lynch at first, The Man didn't exactly reciprocate, bringing out the edgier and meaner side of herself that led her to the top in the first place. They were forcibly seperated afterwards and it's clear that this is not going to be a friendly rivalry by any means.

There is going to be a war of words, but will Natalya bring out a nastier version of herself as the big stage approaches closer?

#4. Will Dolph Ziggler push The Miz to his limits?

Has The Miz become everything that he's hated as Ziggler said?
Ad

Dolph Ziggler and The Miz went face-to-face for the first time in a long time as The Miz hosted The Showoff on Miz TV. Naturally, there was a lot of tension right off the bat, primarily due to their feud 3 years ago where The Miz made Ziggler put his career on the line to gain an opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship.

The roles seem to be reversed now, with The Miz being a loving and caring family man while Ziggler remains bitter over what could have been in his career. However, last week Ziggler did make a point to The Miz about how he's become everything he's hated and essentially called out his nice guy "act".

Will Ziggler's words affect The Miz enough for him to turn heel again?

#3. How will Ricochet get retribution against AJ Styles & The Club?

Will the mean streak continue?
Ad

AJ Styles and Ricochet, for our money, have been having the best rivalry in WWE right now. There's simply no rivalry that involves two superstars on the athletic and technical level that they are at.

Moreover, the fact that it's the young up-and-comer vs. the veteran makes it all the more interesting. Despite having won his United States Championship, AJ Styles further added insult to injury when he assaulted Ricochet during his six-man tag team match earlier in the night.

Ricochet tried to get one back but wasn't as successful. The numbers game keeps catching up to The One and Only superstar and tensions are boiling as we head to the biggest party of the summer.

Expect AJ Styles vs Ricochet to be announced for SummerSlam. It's easily going to be the show-stealer of the night and we wonder how Ricochet will deal with Styles and The Club heading into it.

#2. Will the RAW Reunion merge into the 24/7 chase?

24/7!

The chase for the 24/7 Championship over the past many weeks have centered around two names: R-Truth and Drake Maverick. For Truth, it's been a symbol of pride and he's won it about 9 times so far.

As for Maverick, it's been an obsession that his spilt into his recent marriage. Not only has it seen his wife Renee Michelle come close to filing for divorce, but it's even been a problem for him when trying to consummate his marriage.

Last week, R-Truth bribed a referee to disguise as a waiter and came from underneath the tray to pin Maverick on his bed and run away with the 24/7 title. While we know that Maverick will be on the chase, will the returning legends get involved as well? We expect at least 3 or more title changes, with Mick Foley being one legend who might win the 24/7 Championship

#1. Seth Rollins gears up for Brock Lesnar

He's hungry!

Seth Rollins was the people's champion in every way. Not only did he carry the Universal Championship with pride, but he defended the title on every given opportunity. That was all taken away when Brock Lesnar, the man who he beat for the title, cashed in the MITB at Extreme Rules to become the first and only 3-time Universal Champion.

Due to no rematch clause being applicable, Seth Rollins had to win the all-star battle royale to become the #1 contender. He last eliminated Randy Orton to do so and will now challenge The Beast Incarnate in a rematch from WrestleMania.

As The Beast Incarnate appears more frequently, what will Seth Rollins do to prepare himself? Is this fired-up version of Rollins enough to take Lesnar down or will we be in for yet another dominant reign by The Beast Incarnate?
