Men’s Singles Category:
In men’s singles category Hong Kong’s shuttler Wei Nan was crowned the champion. Nan, who is currently the World Ranked 92 defeated his country mate and World No. 60 Yan Kit Chan 21-15 21-18 in just 39 minutes.
Nan, who shattered the Indian dreams after thrashing Arvind Bhatt in the Quarterfinals was in supreme touch in this tournament as he lost only a single game in the entire tournament.
Women’s Singles Category:
In women’s singles category Thai shuttler Busanan Ongbumrungpan clinched the title after defeating Gu Juan of Singapore by 21-12 21-12 .
Busanan, who is currently the World No. 16 and second seeded player in the tournament defeated the third seeded and World No. 21 Juan in a match which lasted for only 32 minutes.
Mixed Doubles Category:
In mixed doubles category of the tournament, the second seeded Singapore pair of Bawa Chrisnanta and Yu Yan Vanessa Neo won the championship match after defeating the top seeded Indonesian pair of Muhammad Rijal and Debby Susanto 21-19 25-23 in a 45 minute thrilling encounter.
Indonesian pair gave a very tough fight in the opening game but were unfortunate to convert the decisive points. Even the second game went neck to neck but the top seeded pair was unable to convert the game point at 22-21 and eventually lost the game 25-23.
Women’s Doubles Category:
In women’s doubles category the Chinese pair of Bao Yixin and Jinhua Tang crushed the Indonesian pair of Anggia Shitta Awanda and Della Destiara Haris 21-15 21-7. This match lasted for just 35 minutes.
Indonesian pair were completely outclassed by the higher experienced and higher ranked Chinese duo. Indonesian pair gave a decent fight in the first game but they were absolutely no match to the Chinese pair in the second game.
Men’s Doubles Category:
It was an all Indonesian affair in the finals of the men’s doubles category. 4th seeded pair of Wahyu Nayaka Arya Pankaryanira and Ade Yusuf defeated the pair of Berry Angriawan and Ricky Karanda Suwardi 14-21 21-18 21-17 in a 45 minutes match.
