Over the weekend, many MLB games were postponed because of snow. It is unusually strange at this time of year to get that kind of weather. It will warm up at some point, but some of these teams are warm heading into Week 4 of the MLB regular season.

10. Washington Nationals: Even though they are just 9-9, Washington picked up two big wins on the road against the New York Mets. On Monday Night, Washington came back from a 6-1 deficit in the eighth inning to win 8-6. Bryce Harper hit a broken bat home run in that game. He might be the early season MVP in the National League with a .300 batting average seven home runs and 14 RBI's. Last week's ranking: 9.

9. Pittsburgh Pirates: Pittsburgh got the benefit of the doubt early in the season with a cupcake schedule. They have now lost two straight games against the Colorado Rockies and this isn't a shock at all. Colorado is a much better baseball team than them, but the reason the Pirates are in the top is that they have an 11-6 record and currently lead the NL Central by 1.0 game over the St. Louis Cardinals. Last week's ranking: 7.

8. Cleveland Indians: The Indians had two games postponed over the weekend against the Toronto Blue Jays because of inclement weather. There will be a doubleheader between these two teams on May 3. The one game played in on Friday Night, Toronto won 6-1. In 15 games played, Cleveland has only scored 55 runs. It is average at best, and they need more runs to support the pitching staff. Last week's ranking: 6.

7. Colorado Rockies: The Rockies have found its legs once again over the past week. Colorado has won their past five out of six games. The Rockies pitching has held the fort as of late by giving up just two runs or fewer in four of those six games. Adam Ottavino has been outstanding in the Rockies bullpen with a 3-0 record with a 0.84 ERA. In 10.2 innings pitched, he has just given up two hits and one run. Ottavino has only walked one batter and struck out 22, and also has one blown save. Chad Bettis has been Colorado's best starter so far in 2018. His record is 3-0 with a 1.44 ERA. Bettis has started in four games and in 25 innings pitched, he has given up 17 hits and four runs. Bettis has walked two batters and struck out ten. The Rockies record is 11-8. Last week's ranking: not ranked.

6. Toronto Blue Jays: The Blue Jays continue to get the job done and they have had a stretch of three consecutive games being PPD until they played a doubleheader on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals. Toronto won both games 11-3 and 5-4. Yangervis Solarte had four RBI's in the first game but was held hitless in the second game and Randal Grichuk had three RBI's in the second game, but he was also held hitless in the second game. With an 11-5 record so far in 2018, they are staying on the Boston Red Sox toes in the AL East. Last weeks ranking: 8.

5. New York Mets: The Mets got off to a 12-2 start after a Wilmer Flores walk-off home run on Sunday Afternoon against the Milwaukee Brewers. New York has now lost two consecutive games against the Washington Nationals. The Mets blew a 6-1 on Monday Night in the eighth inning and lost 8-6. New York hasn't been relying on one guy in the lineup during the 2018 campaign. Michael Conforto has been back for the Mets after missing the first week of the season because he was recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. His batting average is .250 with one home run and three RBI's. Noah Syndergaard and Jacob DeGrom are both 2-0 on the year. Syndergaard has a 2.95 ERA and he has only walked five batters and struck out 33 batters. DeGrom has a 3.24 ERA and he has only walked six batters and struck out 30. Last week's ranking: 3.

4. Arizona Diamondbacks: Arizona can win games in many different ways. They can shut you down with the pitching staff they have or they can win by putting up many runs. Arizona is 7-3 in their last 10 games and they are 12-4 to start the season. Patrick Corbin flirted with a no-hitter in Tuesday Night's 1-0 win against the San Francisco Giants. Corbin might be early of the NL CY Young candidate. He has a 3-0 record with a 1.65 ERA. Corbin has started in four games and he has given up 14 hits and five runs. He has only walked five batters and struck out 37. Last week's ranking: 4.

3. Houston Astros: After getting off to a hot start, the Astros are just playing .500 baseball as of late. They still have one of the best lineups in baseball and because of that, they are off to an 11-7 start. Yuli Gurriel returned Houston's lineup and his batting average is .200 with one home run and four RBI's. Houston has competition in the AL West with the Los Angeles Angels to start the 2018 campaign. Last week's ranking: 1.

2. Los Angeles Angels: The Angels have not only been the best team in Los Angeles to start the 2018 season, but they are also one of the best teams in the MLB to start the season. The currently lead the AL West with a 13-4 record. Mike Trout has a .266 batting average with six home runs and 13 RBI's. Shohei Ohtani didn't get past the third inning in Tuesday Night's 10-1 loss at home against the Boston Red Sox because of a blister on his finger. It snapped the Angels seven-game win streak. Ohtani's record is 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA. In 15.0 innings pitched, he has given up eight hits and six runs. Ohtani has walked four batters and struck out 19. Tyler Skaggs and Garrett Richards also have two wins in the Angels rotation. Ohtani also has a .367 batting average with three home runs and 11 RBI's. Last week's ranking: 5.

1.Boston Red Sox: The Red Sox made it to the postseason the past two seasons for a reason. I thought getting rid of manager John Farrell was going to be a mistake for the Red Sox, but it is proving so far in 2018 that it was the right move. Alex Cora has his squad off to a 14-2 start. They have a solid combination of offense and pitching. The only loss Boston has suffered in its last 10 games was a 10-7 loss on Wednesday Night at home against the New York Yankees and it featured a brawl. Boston's game with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday Morning (Patriots' Day) was postponed because of rain. Mookie Betts has had a hot start for the Red Sox with a .389 batting average with five home runs and 13 RBI's, along with two stolen bases. Chris Sale's record is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA. In 22 innings pitched, he has given up 16 hits and three runs. Sale has only walked five batters and struck out 31. Rick Porcello's record is 3-0 with a 1.83 ERA. In 19.2 innings pitched, he has given up 14 hits and four runs. Porcello has only walked one batter and struck out 17. Last week's ranking: 2.
