WATCH: Knapp crushes walk-off, upper-deck home run in 13th
Philadelphia Phillies catcher Andrew Knapp has not hit many home runs in his young career – six to be exact – but he may never deliver a more memorable one than he did on Sunday.
Entering the game as a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the 13th inning, Knapp crushed Washington Nationals reliever Justin Miller's fastball into the second deck at Citizens Bank Park.
Knapp stepped to the plate with one out as a pinch-hitter for reliever Nick Pivetta, and the Phillies had no one up in their bullpen.
They had already used nine pitchers in the game.
In his third MLB season, Knapp is hitting .221 with three home runs in 104 at-bats.
