Tyler White's heroics for the Houston Astros saw a record set for most walk-off home runs in a single MLB season.

It gave Houston a 5-4 walk-off win in the ninth over the Oakland Athletics and a 2.5-game lead in the American League West.

However, it also gave the MLB a pretty cool moment and a record to boot.

When White connected for his solo, game-winning shot in the ninth off A's reliever Jeurys Familia, it also gave MLB its 81st walk-off home run of the season.

That is the most in a single season in the history of the game, breaking the previous mark set in 2004.

The New York Yankees tied the record on Tuesday with Neil Walker's ninth-inning blast in a 5-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.
