Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and Australia entered the semifinals of the ongoing 2013 U23 Men’s World Wheelchair Basketball Championship at Adana, Turkey.
In the first quarterfinal of the championship, Australia beat Iran 66 – 61 to enter the semifinal while Germany outplayed Italy 64 – 38 in the second quarterfinal to enter the last four. In other quarterfinals of the championship, Great Britain defeated hosts Turkey 63 – 53 while Sweden cruise past Canada 71 – 66 to enter the semifinals.
Great Britain will face Germany and Australia will meet Sweden in the semifinals of the championship.
The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF), in association with Turkey Wheelchair Basketball Federation, is the organizer of the championship.
A total of 12 countries are participating in the 2013 U23 Men’s World Basketball Championship. Participating teams were qualified from different sub-zones of IWBF. The 2013 Men’s U23 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship is the fifth edition of the IWBF U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship. The final of the championship will be held on September 14, 2013.
