Stephen Curry is arguably the greatest shooter of all-time. He has transcended the game of basketball and changed the way people looked at the game, forever. Because of his success taking three-pointers, the rest of the league started putting more emphasis on taking threes.

With his ridiculous shooting, he can change the course of the game single-handedly and is a nightmare to guard for the defenders because of his ability to knock down threes off-the-dribble with high precision.

He holds almost all the 3-point shooting records and is definitely going to break many before he decides to hang his boots. In this article, let us take a look at three games in which Stephen Curry breathed-fire from downtown.

Stephen Curry has in his 4th season in the NBA and the Warriors were off to a 33-24 start and were looking for a spot in the playoffs. The Knicks were 33-20 and hosted their Western Conference rival for a game at Madison Square Garden.

Curry went nasty and scored career-high 54 points but the supporting crew did not show up and the Warriors had to lose this one. He was ridiculous from beyond the arc and went 11-13 from distance. Apart from Curry, none of the starters scored in double digits but the Warriors still lost by just 4 points. This shows how Curry dominated that night.

This came on the back of terrific shooting from distance as he knocked down threes effortlessly and finished the game with then career-high 11 three-pointers. He did not hesitate to take shots even with the defenders covering him fully and made them with high accuracy(84.6). He was also perfect from the free-throw line and went 7-7.

The Golden State Warriors were a team on a mission during the 2015-16 season and were dominating the opposition teams every single night with some serious performances. The Warriors would finish the regular season with an NBA record of 73-9. Stephen Curry had innumerous brilliant performances that season.

The Warriors visited Chesapeake Energy Arena for a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The hosts took a big early lead and Curry had to keep making threes to bring them back into the game. The regulation period would not be sufficient to decide the winner and the game went into the overtime.

In overtime, it was Curry's show once again as he knocked down 3 three-pointer including the game-winning 3-pointer from deep with 0.6 seconds remaining. The Warriors managed to win the game, 121-118. Curry finished the game with 12 3-pointers and tied the then-record for most 3s in a single-game.

The Golden State Warriors started the 2016-17 season with a record of 4-2 and were up against the New Orleans Pelicans, who were winless six games into the season. Curry exploded and dropped 46 points, on the back of then NBA-record 13 three-pointers and lifted the Warriors past Pelicans.

In the first quarter, with Warriors down by 5 and close to seven minutes remaining, he knocked down his first three-pointer on the night to cut the Pelicans' lead to 2. He then followed it up with another three-pointer with 4:32 remaining in the first, to tie the game. It looked like he was going to go off that night and he did.

He finished the night with 46 points on a 16-26 shooting. From the three-point line, he went unconscious for 13-17 with a mind-blowing three-point field-goal percentage of 76.5. The Pelicans had no answer to Curry as he kept knocking down three-pointers.
