Chargers sign CB Hayward to three-year extension
The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to a contract extension with cornerback Casey Hayward.
The Los Angeles Chargers announced the contract extension of cornerback Casey Hayward on Sunday.
According to NFL.com, the extension is for three years at $36million with $20m guaranteed. Hayward then confirmed the report.
Hayward earned a Pro Bowl selection and was a Second-Team All Pro selection in each of the last two seasons.
In 2016, he led the league with seven interceptions, becoming the first player in franchise history to accomplish that feat outright. He added four more interceptions last season.

Hayward has also broken up 42 passes during the last two seasons.
His 22 passes defended led the AFC last season, and was four more than the next closest defender.
