Clippers acquire Gallinari from Nuggets
Italian Danilo Gallinari arrives in Los Angeles on a three-year deal worth $68million.
A three-team trade has seen the Los Angeles Clippers acquire Danilo Gallinari from the Denver Nuggets.
Los Angeles' backcourt may have taken a hit with the exodus of Chris Paul and J.J. Redick, but their frontcourt is shaping up nicely following the arrival of Gallinari on a three-year deal worth $68million.
The deal is part of a three-team trade that sends Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone and the Clippers' 2018 protected first round draft pick (via the Houston Rockets) to Atlanta and a 2019 second round draft pick from the Hawks (via the Washington Wizards) to Denver.
Gallinari – who was drafted by the New York Knicks in 2008 – averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season.
