LeBron James had a fantastic performance against the LA Clippers. The 38-year-old forward dropped 46 points on 16-for-29 shooting on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, for the Lakers, they lost the game.

James and his team are now 1.5 games behind the final play-in spot. However, they will have a chance to improve their record and move up the standings on Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

LeBron is currently listed as active for the Lakers and will most likely suit up for the game. However, it's important to note that his status may change by the time the game starts.


LeBron James is listed as available against the San Antonio Spurs

The LA Lakers forward was questionable for the matchup against the Clippers due to issues with his left ankle. Despite these problems, LeBron decided to play and put on a fantastic show for his fans.

In 33 minutes on the floor, the four-time MVP scored 46 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out seven assists. James was also active on the defensive end of the floor, stealing the ball twice and ending the night with a blocked shot.

Despite his incredible performance, the Lakers lost the game 133-115. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 52 points to help the Clippers win their third straight game.

With 46 points against the Clippers, James is now averaging 30.2 points per game in the 2022-23 season, which is the third-best mark of his career.

It appears that the Lakers superstar no longer has problems with his ankles as he is not listed on the injury report. However, his status may change before the game starts.

It's important to note that the Lakers are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Due to this, Darvin Ham may decide to give James his well-deserved rest.


James is playing incredible well in back-to-back games

Despite being 38, LeBron James has shown no signs of slowing down. In fact, he's been incredible in back-to-back games in the 2022-23 season.

The 6-foot-9 forward has played four games with no rest this season. While the sample size is small, LeBron has averaged 37.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game in these games.

What's even more surprising is the fact that King James has converted 54.8% of his total field goals in these games and 45.5% of his long-range shots.

The Lakers forward scored a season-high 48 points on the second night of a back-to-back. This took place on Jan. 16 against the Houston Rockets as James shot 16-for-26 from the field, while also adding eight rebounds and nine assists to his stat line.
