Zion Williamson is one of the most amazing young superstars in the NBA. Unfortunately, the New Orleans Pelicans forward has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his career, missing more than 140 games in it.

When Zion plays, he is incredible. Despite having a long history of injuries, the 6-foot-6 forward is completely unaffected by them on the floor and he's incredible when it comes to taking the game over.

Thanks to Williamson's amazing skills, the New Orleans Pelicans have the third-best record in the Western Conference with 23 wins and 16 losses. The Pelicans will play against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, but they won't be able to count on the young star.

Zion Williamson is out indefinitely and will miss the Boston Celtics game

The 22-year-old forward has been incredible in the 2022-23 season. He's averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game. Williamson is very efficient, converting 60.8% of his total shots.

In his last game, Zion had 26 points on 10-for-12 shooting. Williamson had this incredible scoring performance against the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 2, but he also sustained a right hamstring strain during the game.

The Pelicans will continue their five-game road trip in Boston on Wednesday, but will have to play without their best player. After the Celtics, they will also travel to Detroit and finish their road trip in Cleveland.

When will Williamson come back for New Orleans Pelicans?

It is almost certain that the Pelicans will be without Zion Williamson during their entire road trip. The superstar forward is not very close to his return to the basketball court and may be sidelined until February.

More precisely, the former All-Star will be re-evaluated in two weeks. After this evaluation, the Pelicans will decide whether he's made progress or not. Considering that his long-term health is a priority, he may be out for an extended period.
