Jalen Williams and the OKC Thunder will head to Las Vegas to take on the Houston Rockets in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup Semifinal on Saturday. This promises to be an entertaining matchup between two of the in-form teams in the Western Conference.
Williams has been a key figure for the OKC Thunder over the first two months of the season. The third-year player is in amid his best season yet in the pros and is averaging career highs in points (21.8), rebounds (6.1), assists (5.0), steals (2.0) and blocks (0.8). Williams leads the Oklahoma City roster in rebounds and steals, and has been one of the most defensively sound players on the team.
With a handful of injuries to the lineup, Jalen Williams has had to step up over the last few weeks. The Thunder are currently on a four-game win streak and a big factor has been the forward's productivity on both ends of the court.
Against the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 5, he recorded 20 points, seven rebounds and two assists. He followed that up with a stellar offensive performance against the New Orleans Pelicans a couple of days later, finishing with 27 points, six rebounds and five assists. In his last outing versus the Dallas Mavericks, Williams had 18 points, seven rebounds four assists.

Jalen Williams player props and betting tips
Points 21.5, Over (-125) Under (-105)
Jalen Williams ranks second on the Thunder in points and with Chet Holmgren still out with a hip fracture, expect Williams to take on a big role in the NBA Cup semifinal. Williams has recorded 20 or more points in four of his last five games, including 27 and 28 points over the last 11 days. With the current streak he is on, it should be safe to take the over on this bet.
Rebounds 5.5, Over (-130), Under (Even)
Williams' rebounding has improved this season with the 6-foot-6 forward recording a career-best 6.1 rpg. He has recorded seven, six and seven rebounds over his last three games, but a two-rebound outing against the Utah Jazz in early December is cause for concern.
The Rockets are one of the best rebounding teams in the league and Williams should go under the 5.5 number that is set for him.
Assists 4.5, Over (+110) Under (-140)
Coach Mark Daigneault's dynamic offense has been a huge success and the Thunder have the ability to put up a lot of points. Williams ranks second in the roster in apg (5.0), behind only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He has finished with five or more assists in three of his last five outings, and he should be able to go over the 4.5 assists set for Saturday.
Steals 1.5, Over (-120) Under (-120)
It is not easy to secure steals and force turnover in the NBA but this is one area where Williams has excelled all season. The high-energy player ranks third in the league with 2.0 spg. If he continues to play the way he has, Williams should be able to surpass the 1.5 steals set for him.
Blocks 0.5, Over (-150) Under (+105)
Blocks are not exactly Jalen Williams' strong suit, but he has managed 0.8 bpg over the first 24 games of the season. However, he has just two blocks over his last five starts. Against a talented Rockets roster, it is unlikely Williams is able to record a block on the night.
Jalen Williams' stats versus Rockets on Nov. 8
The Thunder and Rockets have already played once this season, with Oklahoma City winning 126-107 at the Paycom Center on Nov. 8. Williams had a solid performance but was not up to his usual standards. He finished with 14 points and shot 7-of-11 from the field. The forward chipped in with five rebounds, three assists and a block.
