King LeBron James turns 34 today. He is often considered the best basketball player in the world and regarded by some as the greatest player of all time. At the age most players think of retirement, LeBron is giving his best for the Los Angeles Lakers, the team he signed for this summer. He is a success both on and off the court.

Born December 30, 1984, James was selected as the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was touted as a future NBA star and backed it up with an impressive season and won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Continuing his incredible form with the Cavs, he won the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010 but fell short when it came to winning the coveted NBA Championship. James departed Cavaliers in 2010 as a free agent to sign with the Miami Heat in pursuit of the Title. At the time it was regarded as one of the most controversial free agent decisions in American sports history.

James won his first NBA Championship in 2012 with the Miami Heat and successfully defended it the next year (he was named league MVP and NBA Finals MVP in both championship years). After successful four years with the Heat, James went back to the Cavaliers and led them to their first ever NBA Championship(ending Cleveland's 52-year professional sports title drought) defeating the unstoppable Golden State Warriors, who set the record for most NBA wins in a regular season with 73-9.

The Cavaliers became the first team in Finals history to successfully overcome a 3–1 deficit. King James' leadership skills and strong willpower led the Cavs to achieve this incredible feat, something for which he will always be remembered among the Cavaliers fan base.
