Milwaukee Bucks preview

After an inconsistent opening week of the campaign, it looked as though the Milwaukee Bucks would struggle to replicate their form from the 2018-19 season. However, Monday's win over the Chicago Bulls was Milwaukee's seventh win in eight games, and they are on pace to match last year's 60-win season.

Following the departure of Malcolm Brogdon, Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez have stepped up alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, while 22-year-old Donte DiVincenzo has impressed since being moved to a starting role.

The Bucks' offense is also among the best in the NBA and they are currently averaging 118.5 points through their opening 13 games of the season.

There were questions as to how much Antetokounmpo could improve after winning his first MVP award during the summer, but the 24-year-old has started the season in the best form of his career.

Through 13 games Giannis is averaging 30.3 points, 14.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists, and his leadership skills have also been on show during Milwaukee's excellent start to the season.

Bucks Predicted Lineup

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Wesley Matthews, Brook Lopez, Eric Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo

Atlanta Hawks preview

The Atlanta Hawks opened the season with a better than expected 3-3 record - leading to hope that they could challenge for a playoff spot in a weak Eastern Conference. However, Sunday's defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers was Atlanta's sixth loss in seven games, and any hope of reaching the postseason is already fading.

After starting the season with one of the NBA's best defenses, the Hawks have now allowed at least 120 points in five straight games. Trae Young's impact on the offensive end has also cooled following a historic few weeks.

The Hawks will need to hit form soon to save their season, but there have been very few positive signs over the past week.

Key player - Trae Young

Young's form has dipped over the past week, but the 21-year-old remains the biggest threat for the Hawks. Over 12 appearances this season Young has averaged 27.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.7 assists, and the guard seems primed for a big night from beyond the arc.

Hawks predicted lineup

De'Andre Hunter, Jabari Parker, Damian Jones, Trae Young, Cam Reddish

Bucks vs Hawks match prediction

The Hawks have enjoyed an extra day of rest, but they have struggled at home this season and looked extremely poor against the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Bucks continue to improve, and another big performance from Giannis should be enough to secure a win.
