The game of basketball is all about statistics. You can find stats for pretty much everything a player does on the court and it really helps the player and the coaching staff to analyse the situation and make better decisions.

While a lot of times people focus on stats that glorify a player's performance, there are certain stats that do not necessarily glorify the performance but are just weird. This kind of stat lines occur very rarely and often go unnoticed.

While the NBA has seen innumerable such weird stat lines by the players, in this article, let us take a look at three of those stat lines.

#3 C.J. Watson

C.J. Watson is not a popular basketball player and many of you might not have heard of him before. He went undrafted in 2008 but made it to the NBA after a lot of struggle in the Summer League.

He has played in the NBA for 10 years and enjoyed a limited success. He finished his career with averages of 7.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. However, he will be remembered forever for this weird stat. In one of the games he played for the Brooklyn Nets, he faces the Chicago Bulls in April 2013 and had 1 in all five statistical categories along with 1 turnover. He accounted for these figures after close to 9 minutes of action.

The Bulls won this game by 2 points, 92-90, on the back of a 29-point, 18-rebound performance from Carlos Boozer. This is definitely an embarrassing stat line and a game, Watson would not love remembering.

#2 Rasual Butler

Rasual Butler was selected by the Miami Heat with the 53rd overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He was a reliable threat from outside with his shooting and has played on several teams in the NBA.

Butler signed a contract with the Toronto Raptors in December 2011 and spent just above three months with the franchise before he got waived by them. However, he had one of the weirdest stat lines in the history of basketball while with the Raptors.

In one of the games against the Lakers, Butler checked in to inbound the ball, with 4:2 seconds remaining and Raptors down by one. This was the first time in the game that Butler checked in but got a 5-second violation on the inbound. He was taken out after this and since the clock does not start until the clock gets inbounded, he finished the game with 0 minutes of action and 1 turnover.

#1 Richard Hamilton

Stat Line : 14 points, 0-10 FG, 14-14 FT

Richard Hamilton played in the NBA for 14 years and spent 9 of those years with the Detroit Pistons. He had his best playing days with the franchise and helped the Pistons reach six straight Eastern Conference Finals, back-to-back finals and won the 2004 NBA title.

Rip Hamilton had one of the weirdest stat lines in 2005 when the Pistons hosted the Memphis Grizzlies. He had 14 points without a single field-goal and went 14-14 from the free-throw line.

On top of this, he was the highest scorer on his team. A team filled with four All-Star starters, Tayshaun Prince (never made it to the All-Star) was the second highest scorer with 13 points in that game. The Pistons got blown out by the Memphis Grizzlies, 101-79, just like you would expect.
