LeBron James has played in 14 NBA all-star games since he was drafted into the NBA back in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers. James is the 5th highest scorer in the NBA all time and is perhaps less than three seasons worth of games from catching and surpassing the scoring record set by one Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In order to claim that record in that time frame, James must maintain his current scoring pace.

James is now 33 years old and has not been any less an explosive scorer when playing in the NBA All-Star game. In his 14 all-star appearances, LeBron James has scored 343 points.

This gives him an average of 24.5 points per All-Star game. This ties him with Anthony Davis for the highest scoring average among players who have played in three or more All-Star games. James’ scoring average during his NBA career (regular season) is 27.2 points per game. James has also won 3 all-star MVP awards.

#2 Kobe Bryant

Bryant only played for the Lakers in his 20-year career. This means his 15 all-star appearances were as a representative of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bryant scored a total of 290 points for an average of 19.3 points per all-star game. Kobe also won 4 All-Star MVP awards. His regular-season scoring average for his career was 25ppg. In winning the All-Star MVP award in 2002 Kobe Bryant went 14/25 from the field and 7/7 from the free throw line scoring 31 points.

When he won the award in 2011, Bryant was 14/26 from the field, 7/8 from the charity stripe and 2/7 from the three-point arc.

To this day Michael Jordan is still considered the greatest basketball player ever. He led the Chicago Bulls to a pair of three-peat NBA titles from 1991-1993 and 1996-1998. In addition to his 6 NBA titles, Jordan was the Finals MVP all six times his team won it. He was also a 5 time NBA MVP and a 10 time NBA scoring champion. He also claimed the rookie of the year award in 1985

If he had not taken a year and a half off from the game, after the 1993 title, its possible Jordan would have led the Bulls to 8 consecutive titles. This would have been the ultimate record as LeBron James has a streak of 8 consecutive NBA Finals appearances including the 2018 NBA final. However, James has only been a member of the winning team 3 times.

Jordan during a 15-year career played in 13 NBA All-Star games. He accumulated 262 points for a scoring average of 20.2 points per all-star game. Jordan also claimed three All-Star Game MVP awards.
