Lonzo Ball entered the NBA as one of most talked about rookies in recent memory after his father LaVar declared that he was better than NBA superstar Steph Curry among others. However, Lonzo's time in the league has been impacted by a series of injuries, and the 21-year-old was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this summer.

The relationship between LaVar and Lonzo has deteriorated over the past year, and during the latest episode of 'Ball in the Family', LaVar labeled his son as 'damaged goods'

BBB is always going to be the name on the fact that it also stands for the three Ball brothers.
When I come out with a name and then somebody tells me to change it, that’s like me telling me to change your name. That’s like people saying ‘Oh, hey, change Lonzo’s name to Alfonzo on the fact that he's been damaged goods for the last two years.

Earlier this year, Lonzo distanced himself from his father's 'Big Baller Brand' after co-founder Alan Foster embezzled more than a million dollars from the company. Over his first two seasons in the NBA, Lonzo has played 99 times, averaging 10.0 points, 6.4 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per game.

After two weeks of exciting action, Spain won the FIBA World Cup, for the second time, on Sunday, thanks to a 95-75 win over Argentina. Argentina had produced surprise wins over Serbia and France on route to the final, although the South Americans couldn't produce another shock as the Spanish came away with a comfortable win.

Sergio Scariolo's side led throughout the entire game, and the title is Spain's second after the nation previously took home the gold at the 2006 World Cup. Marc Gasol and Sergio Llull combined for 29 points, while Tournament MVP Ricky Rubio scored 20 points in another excellent performance.

Gabriel Deck managed 24 points for Argentina, although Luis Scola endured his worst performance of his tournament as he shot just 1-for-10 from the floor. Both teams will compete at the Olympic Games next summer.

Justise Winslow wants to replace Goran Dragic as the Heat's starting point guard

The Miami Heat have missed out on the playoffs in two of the past three seasons, although the organization is hopeful that the arrival of Jimmy Butler can help get them back on track. Miami has not made any other major moves in the offseason and Justise Winslow believes he can help the team by being deployed at point guard:

I just think for what our team wants out of that position (point guard), somebody who is a great communicator, somebody who is vocal, somebody who gets guys in their spots. I feel like my playmaking and my ability to take care of the ball has gotten a lot better, as well. That’s kind of what our organization sees in that position and I think I pretty much embody all that. So that’s why I think I’m a good fit.

Winslow started at point guard during Goran Dragic's absence last season, and the Heat also attempted to trade Dragic earlier this summer. During the 18-19 season, Winslow averaged 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
