The first selection of the 2010 NBA draft, John Wall has been the pivotal piece for the Washington Wizards since his debu. In his rookie year, he averaged 16 points, 4.6 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game and subsequently made it to the All-Rookie First Team.

Wall is one of the quickest players in the NBA today and is known for his ability to go coast-to-coast with lightning-quick speed. The 5-time All-Star is currently in his 9th season in the NBA and made it to the post-season four times in his career. He is also an excellent passer and is a reliable threat with his pick and roll. The Golden State Warriors (45-4) got off to an insane start and were on a seven-game winning streak when they visited the then Verizon Center for a regular-season matchup against the Washington Wizards.

Stephen Curry showed his attacking skills and went for 25 points in the first quarter and almost outscored the entire Wizards team. The Wizards needed everything they could get from Wall and he scored 13 points in the second quarter and the Wizards were down by 14 points at the halftime.

In the final quarter, Wall had 14 points to end up with 41 points but did not get enough support from the teammates. Apart from Wall, no other starter scored in double-digits and the Wizards fell 121-134. For the Warriors, Curry was the engine and scored 51 points. Wall's double-double night ended in a loss and the Wizards fell to 21-27.

The Washington Wizards were in Los Angeles for two back-to-back games against the Lakers and Clippers. A night after scoring 34 points, dishing out 14 assists in the win against the Lakers, Wall once again exploded but the Clippers held on to the victory.

Wall had 20 points at half-time and the Clippers were leading by 11 points. He finished the night on 16-for-23 shooting, including red-hot 8-for-11 from the three-point line. He had 11 points in the third quarter but thanks to a combined team effort from the Clippers, the hosts held on to a 133-124 win.

With this win at home, the Los Angeles Clippers clinched the regular-season series against the Washington Wizards, 2-1.

After failing to make it to the 2016 NBA playoffs, the Washington Wizards were once again back in the playoffs in 2017 and were up against the Atlanta Hawks in the First Round. The Wizards were up 3-2 after five games and the focus shifted to the Game 6 in Atlanta. John Wall scored 42 points on the night and helped the Washington Wizards eliminate the Hawks from playoffs.

Wall scored 12 points in the second quarter and the Wizards were up 65-46 at the halftime. Atlanta would, however, fight back in the third quarter and cut the Wizards' lead to 7 points after three quarters.

However, Wall's 19-point explosion in the fourth quarter helped the Wizards steal the game and the series in six games.

The Washington Wizards were not having a great season and were 25-44 when they hosted the Memphis Grizzlies for a game. A win in this game was very important for the Wizards to keep their playoffs hopes alive. John Wall scored a then career-high 47 points to take the Wizards past the Grizzlies.

Wall knocked down four back-to-back mid-range jumpers to get it going and the Wizards jumped to an early 12-4 lead. With 4:29 remaining in the first quarter, he knocked down a tough fadeaway jumper to enthral the crowd.

In the fourth quarter, with under a minute remaining, he knocked down a three-pointer in the defender's face to deliver the dagger. The Wizards got the win, 107-94.

After defeating the Brooklyn Nets, on the back of a double-double performance from John Wall, the Wizards were on the second night of a back-to-back and were up against the Orlando Magic. John Wall dropped 52 points but the Wizards could not get the win.

In the first quarter, Wall pulled up from mid-range to start his offensive explosion. Wall had 19 points at halftime but the Magic were up by as many as 13 points. In the third quarter, Wall scored 15 points but the Magic still won the quarter, 31-29.

The story was similar in the fourth quarter as Wall exploded for 18 points but the Magic took home the 124-116 win. This was the 5-time All-Star's first (and only) 50-point game in the NBA so far. He finished the night shooting 18-for-31 from the field, including 5-for-8 from long range. For the Magic, Elfrid Payton had 25 points and 9 assists off the bench.
