The LA Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors to start their 2022-23 NBA season, but it ended in misery. The team was looking forward to spoiling the Warriors' ring night ceremony, but Los Angeles became a hot topic due to their lack of shooting in Tuesday's 123-109 loss.

Given the long summer break, fans seem to have forgotten that Los Angeles isn't a sharp-shooting team. However, it didn't take long for the team to remind everyone of what it lacked.

The Lakers shot 25.0% from 3-point range. The Warriors dared them to shoot the long ball the entire game.

Following the game, a post went viral on a job-seeking website looking for outside shooters for the Lakers. Fans couldn't help but pile in on the fun. Here are some of them:

Updating the roster is what the Lakers need to address their problems. Fans have been pointing out their frustration regarding the team's lack of shooters. Maybe this time, the front office will realize what they have to do.

LeBron James is aware of what the Lakers need

Following their loss to the Warriors, it was clear that Los Angeles needed to address their issues head on. Over the summer, they weren't able to construct a team capable of being a threat in the West. Instead of going for shooters, the team collected a bunch of below-average point guards.

Their first game back was humiliating. The Warriors didn't mind that their opponents were open on the perimeter. Even LeBron James is aware of what the Lakers need to work on. During the postgame interview session, James was brutally honest about his team's state.

"I think we’re getting great looks, but it could also be teams giving us great looks," James said. "To be completely honest, we’re not a team constructed of great shooting. ... It's not like we're sitting here with a lot of lasers on our team."

It's up to Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka and the front office to deal with the problems of the team. For the Lakers to contend, they'll need reliable shooters.

Los Angeles went 33-49 last season, finishing with a losing record for the seventh time in the past seven seasons.
