Patrick Beverley spent most of the NBA season as a member of the LA Lakers until he was traded last week. As a recent player, Beverley knows the problems the team has to fix to become a legitimate contender in the Western Conference.

In a new episode of Beverley's podcast, he shared that there are other details as to why the Lakers are struggling this season.

"It wasn’t basketball,"Beverley said. "It wasn’t basketball. It wasn’t basketball. It was other s**t. But other s**t that you really can’t like pin or point out. You know, comes and goes. You know, a little bit here, a little bit there."

After his comments, some fans trolled the veteran point guard. Here are some of the best reactions.

Beverley played 45 games for the Lakers this season. He averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists while making 40.2%, including 34.8% from beyond the arc for the squad. He struggled to contribute mightily this season, which also became a big problem for the team early on.

The Lakers are 13th in the Western Conference, trying to make one last push to get themselves in the playoff picture. The New Orleans Pelicans will match up against them on Wednesday.

After getting traded to the Orlando Magic at the deadline, it was reported that the team and Patrick Beverley worked on buying out his contract. With this, he's now a free agent, which will give him a chance to sign with a team that really wants him on their roster.

Let's take a look at which teams could possibly sign him now that he got bought out by Orlando.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls haven't had a reliable point guard this season. Lonzo Ball has not played because of an injury, and Ayo Dosunmu is too inexperienced to handle most of the responsibilities at the backcourt. Adding Beverley could give them another defensive stopper on the perimeter as well.

LA Clippers

Beverley isn't a stranger to the LA Clippers' system as he had some of his best years with the team. A return to the Clippers could be possible now that they are looking thin in the point guard department.
