As the traditional powerhouses of Nepalese college basketball, Trinity, Prime, Goldengate and WhiteHouse crashed out of the tournament, CCRC and TIMES are set to play for the boys title of the ongoing 11th edition of the Prime Cup basketball tournament here in Kathmandu, Nepal.

In the first boys semifinal, Times defeated hosts Prime 41-37 to enter the final of the tournament. Times took the first three quarters 7-6, 9-4 and 12-11 respectively to pave it’s way to the final. Prime showed some resistance in the last quarter by taking it 16-13, but Times held their nerve to enter the final of the prestigious Prime Cup. Arjun Shrestha netted 17 points for Prime while Anish Gurung netted match high 18 points for Times.

In the second boys semifinal, CCRC defeated VS Niketan 56-43 to set final date with Times. CCRC took first two quarters 14-6 and 14-8 while VS took the third quarter 16-15. Last quarter was a draw with both teams scoring 13 points each. Rakesh Shrestha netted 20 points to take CCRC in to the final while Suman scored 15 points for VS Niketan.

Meanwhile hosts Prime will play Gurukul in the Girls final.
