After the recent completion of the 25th FIBA ASIA championship for Women, 16 teams to participate in the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women is now confirmed.
Following are the teams qualified for the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women.
- USA: Olympic gold medal winners
- Turkey: Host
- FIBA AMERICAS (3): Cuba, Canada & Brazil
- FIBA Oceania (1): Australia
- FIBA Europe (5): Spain, France, Serbia, Belarus and Czech Republic
- FIBA Africa (2): Angola and Mozambique
- FIBA ASIA (3): Japan, Korea and China
The FIBA World Championship for Women will run from 27 September until 5 October 2014. USA is the defending champions while Czech Republic and Spain won silver and bronze in previous edition of the championship.
